2014 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 Camper Van – Replacement Engine <6K Mile

Adventure-ready 2014 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 High Roof, 170″ wheelbase camper van with a Mercedes-Benz replacement engine with less than 6,000 miles, recently rebuilt rear differential, full kitchen and bathroom, solar, heat, and tons of storage!

I’ve really enjoyed this van, but between kids, work, and other commitments, I’m just not getting enough use out of it anymore to justify keeping it. I’d love to see it go to someone who has more time to get out and enjoy it!

I did not complete the original camper build-out, but I have made several changes and upgrades during my ownership to better fit how I used the van, particularly to increase storage and make it easier to travel with bikes, paddleboards, hiking/climbing gear, etc.

The van has 353,946 chassis miles as of 8/20/26, but the Mercedes-Benz remanufactured replacement engine has less than 6,000 miles on it. The replacement engine was purchased directly from a Mercedes-Benz dealer and includes the complete engine assembly. Paperwork is available.

Kitchen

The kitchen has full-size cabinets and countertops, so there is plenty of storage and actual space to prepare meals.

Includes:

1. Propane stovetop
2. Microwave
3. Mini refrigerator
4. Working sink
5. Lots of cabinet/storage space
6. Plenty of counter space for cooking and food prep

Propane is accessed from the roof.

Sleeping / Living + Gear Storage

I removed the previous U-shaped bench and Murphy bed to create significantly more storage and built a bench that pulls out into a full-size bed.

This created a much more versatile space with plenty of room for larger adventure gear. I used it for things like bikes, hiking/climbing equipment, an inflatable paddleboard, camping gear, etc.

The setup works especially well for someone who wants a camper but also needs room to bring their gear along.

Bathroom

The van has a private bathroom with:

4. Marey tankless propane water heater

Known issue: The tankless water heater is currently not working properly and will need to be repaired. The shower/plumbing itself is functional.

Solar / Electrical

1. 300-watt solar panel

5. PowerMax PM3-55LK 55A deck-mount RV converter/charger replaced summer 2026 ($133)

Water System

1. 50-gallon fresh-water tank

3. Black-water tank

The large fresh-water capacity is great for longer trips or camping away from hookups.

Heat

Oil-fired furnace. It requires power to start, but once it is running, external power can be disconnected and the furnace will continue operating.

Custom BugWall Screens + Privacy

I recently added custom BugWall screens specifically fitted to this van, which were approximately $1,000. Receipts are available.

The rear garage screen has a solid lower portion to keep stored gear hidden, with a screened upper section that can be unzipped for access. I also have additional pieces that can be used to create plastic windows instead of screens.

There is also a custom screen on the sliding side door with a magnetic opening. It can remain installed while still allowing you to open and close the van door normally.

Privacy covers for the windshield and front windows are also included for sleeping/camping.

Apple CarPlay + Backup Camera

Apple CarPlay with backup camera is partially installed.

The camera is functional and can currently be viewed by manually selecting it on the screen. It can also be wired into the reverse lights if you want the camera to automatically display when the van is put into reverse.

A Few Things to Know

I want to be transparent that this is a 2014 van with 353k+ miles on the chassis, and I did not do the original camper conversion. It has been used and enjoyed, so it isn’t a brand-new RV.

That said, a significant amount of expensive mechanical work has already been completed, including the Mercedes-Benz replacement engine with less than 6,000 miles and the rear differential rebuild in 2026.

The main current issue I’m aware of is the tankless water heater, which needs repair. The backup-camera wiring could also be finished if you want it to automatically activate in reverse.

I have paperwork/receipts for the major mechanical work and many of the recent upgrades and am happy to provide them to a serious buyer.

This would be a great van for someone looking for a completed Sprinter camper with a full kitchen, private bathroom/shower, solar, heat, large water capacity, full-size sleeping space, and plenty of gear storage without having to start a conversion from scratch.
