Very comfortable van for full time for 1 to 2 travelers. I’ve owned this van for 4 years and had amazing adventures across beaches, rainforests, mountains, and deserts but due to medical issues the time has come to pass her on.
Mechanically she’s in great condition. She was highly reliable for my first 3 years of ownership, then in this last year I’ve dealt with a number of the common coming-of-age issues including:
- New wheel speed sensors
- New steering column
- Rebuilt front brakes
- 4x new rear tires
All A&B services done on time at dealerships with records kept.
Only one known mechanical issue is a minor oil leak from the vacuum cooler. It’s slow enough that the oil level did not noticeably drop over the 10k miles between A&B services.
Conversion is DIY from a prior owner. Overall the conversion is still perfectly functional, but some parts could use maintenance that is beyond me now (medical issues again).
Parts that work great:
General:
- Comfortable, convertible, and (almost) queen-size bed
- Bench with lagun table
- Passenger seat swivel mount
- Lots of storage space
Kitchen
- Powered sink connected to 40g fresh and 40g grey water tanks
- 12w dometic top-loading fridge
- Campchef propane range; set up to connect to either camping propane cylinders or the propane locker in the back
Electrical system
- 400w solar
- 2x 12v 100Ah Wattcycle Li batteries (one year old)
- Rover MPPT charge controller
- 2kW renology inverter
- Shore power port
Electric amenities
- 2 AC outlets near the bed, 2 additional in the garage
- 4 usb outlets
- Ceiling lights
- 2x water pumps — sink & shower drain
Propane
- Propane locker
- Ecotemp tankless water heater (currently drained and disconnected)
- Regulator system including wired push-button solenoid control, and split to run gas to both the water heater and stove
Extras:
- 2x Living in a Bubble brand magnetic bug screens for side and rear doors
- Moon brand suction cup awning
- Outdoor rug, RV water hose & filter, extension cord
What needs maintenance:
- Shower drainage system. Currently there is an external leak from the drainage system mounted underneath the van. Due to this, I have also disconnected the water heater and propane system (which were fully functional when last used ~6mo’s ago).
- Front roof fan has an electrical control fault. Currently only the “auto 78 degrees” button works which puts the fan at full power when it is above 78. Rear fan still works just fine, but honestly both roof fans are original to the conversion and are due to be replaced.
- Minor external paint chipping. No rust.
Given the issues above I’ve priced this van to sell at 10k less than what the estimator tool at the bottom of the page here thinks she’s worth, but still open to offers too. She would be a perfect home for handy nomad, or a great over-the-winter renovation project to relist in the spring.
Open to delivering within the midwest, potentially as far as Denver for the right buyer.
