This is the only van on the market that can truly be off grid for weeks. With 600 Ah of lithium, 100 gallons fresh water, a real 32" x 32" residential sized shower, 1,460 watts of solar, and a near full-size fridge you can be in the desert, mountains, or beach for 3 weeks. We did it on various beaches throughout the Baja Peninsula for 3 months. We had the a/c running all night every night with 85 degree temps.
Just back from our 6-month and over 17,000-mile run across the US and the Baja Peninsula. This must be the most talked about van in Baja this winter. Must have been 100 people stop to ask us for specs on the rooftop solar and van equipment. Traveled from Traverse City to Miami to Phoenix to San Diego to Cabo to Monterrey to Traverse City with too many in between to mention. On the last leg of our trip our Sprinter averaged 18.7 mpg from Monterey, CA through the mountains of Tahoe to Traverse City, MI. A lengthy 2,557 miles with a peak mpg of 19.6 over 699 miles (photos). The Mercedes 3.0-liter turbo diesel is just getting broken in. Our van has enough battery to run the a/c or heat ALL NIGHT with battery left to spare. It’s also very quiet, so you can actually sleep while it’s running. With the auxiliary alternator you’ll never run out of power. Plus, a nearly queen size bed.
So, why are we selling it? A new project is in the works. New vehicle ordered.
Delivery included anywhere in the continental US with $1,500 non-refundable deposit towards purchase.
