2014 Ram ProMaster 159″ High Roof | 70k Mi | 400W Solar, Hot Shower

This van has been our family's home on wheels. We built it ourselves and lived in it full time for over a year, which gave us time to work out every kink and fine-tune the layout for real daily life. Since then it's carried us on multi-week and multi-month trips all over the West.

WHY THIS ONE

1. Low miles: ~70k on a 2014 is rare, most ProMasters for sale are well past 100k
2. The long 159" high roof: 76" of standing room and a fixed queen bed with a true rear garage underneath for bikes, boards, and camp gear
3. Real hot showers off-grid: propane on-demand heater, Flojet pump + accumulator, 28 gal fresh / 13 gal grey
4. A cross-breeze that actually works: two MaxxAir fans, one intake and one exhaust, keep the van comfortable even in the summer heat. Passenger sliding window with screen and insulated blackout cover.
5. Built warm and quiet: foam board on floor, walls and ceiling plus sheep wool in every cavity

THE FEEL

Cedar tongue-and-groove walls and ceiling, a live-edge oak countertop and waterproof vinyl plank floors. It smells like a cabin inside. There's a side bench with storage and a slide-out table, deep drawers under the bed, kitchen cabinets, uppers, and storage above the cab.

POWER

400W HQST solar > EPEVER 40A MPPT > new (2026) Odyssey Extreme 103Ah AGM. 12V system with USB ports at the bed and dimmable LED zones.

MECHANICAL (records available)

Oil every 5k miles. Transmission service (pan, gasket, filter, fluid) and engine temp sensor in 2024, alignment 2024, Bilstein rear shocks 2023, brakes and rotors 2022, front tires 2026, rear tires 2023. 3.6L Pentastar V6 + 6-speed auto. FWD handles sand and snow well and is easy to service anywhere.

EXTRAS

CURT Class 3 hitch (6,000 lb), Advantage SportsRack 4-bike swing-away rack, Adrian Steel cab partition, Andersen levelers, custom-fit window sunshades, ARB fridge on heavy-duty slide.

HONEST NOTES

The ARB fridge over-freezes; a mechanic couldn't fix it and it may need replacing, which is reflected in the price. No AC, heater, or toilet, so you have room to add your own.
