Perfect starting adventure van, 2022 Mercedes Sprinter 4×4

In 2022 we were looking for an adventure van for our family of 4. We wanted something that had all the amenities we needed to make a quick getaway possible and we were not ready to have big complex and expensive systems. We found this van and bought it brand new from Mercedes. It has been a perfect base for our adventures from easy camping trips in the mountains, quick trips to the coast, running relay races, to work trips living out of the van! It is perfect for all seasons and is ready to start adventuring on day one. Our family has enjoyed many trips, getaways and adventures in this van, so much so that we have decided to upgrade to a more robust van with more capabilities. If you are looking for a great way to try out the adventure van life then you are in the right place!

Details about this van:

• Seats and sleeps 4 (bench seat folds into a bed, good for kids or small adults)
• Bench seat can be moved forward and back along tracks in the floor
• Conversion done by Mercedes approved up fitter Travois Vans (it is the Weekender model)
• Kitchen galley with tons of storage, sink, and large counter space
• 6 gallon fresh water and 6 gallon grey water, 12 v water pump for sink
• Refrigerator (12 v)
• Interior lighting
• Insulated interior for 4 season comfort
• Espar diesel heater (our first trip was to -10 deg temps and it kept the inside of the van right where we set it all night)
• AC microwave (we added later)
• Full electrical system to include:
• Solar panels (2)
• Shore power plug
• Inverter
• 110 V AC
• 12 V DC
• Plugs throughout the van
• Battery monitor
• 2 110 Amp hour AGM batteries for the “house”
• Can be charged from the alternator with the van running, shore power, or via the solar panels
• Bed platform is 3 panels and has a tri fold mattress, can be completely removed, or can be folded up to take less space 
• Cabinets were added by myself and home built, includes one over the galley and the other above the bed on the passenger side of the van
• Overhead shelf above driver and passenger seats
• Conduction single burner cook top
• Solar shower (never used but will include with the van)
• Dometic cassette toilet and custom box to store it in (we use it as a step to get into the bed when the bench is pushed back)
• Driver and passenger swivel seats
• Window covers for front three windows and sliding door
• Method wheels 
• Ladder on driver side of the van (I intended to put a platform on the top of the van to put chairs on)
• Steps on driver side and passenger side of the van
• L track rails with hooks on cabinet ends (great spot for jackets)
• Rechargeable lights (use usb C) that magnetically connect to underside of the cabinets
• Puck lights for above the bed and the garage area with replaceable batteries
• Max air fan that can pull air in or out (we were nervous without AC but found strategically opening windows near us and that fan on we were always very comfortable in the van)
• Cell booster
• Back Woods roof rack with light bar

As we have owned the van we slowly added different things to make it more useful. We have taken great care of it and it is in fantastic shape. We would never separate with it except to upgrade, we hope the next owners have as much fun with it and make as many amazing memories in it as we did! If you have any questions please reach out, we would love to share more info.
