Ford Transit Luxury Class B Camper van with Wood Stove

Don’t let the vehicle year on this pristine, gas turbocharged, High Roof, Class B camper fool you. It has spent the majority of its life in a garage in Southern California. The conversion was done in 2021 and the engine has only 37,000 miles on it with all regular maintenance performed. The van is in perfect condition both mechanically and aesthetically. 

I’m a mechanical design engineer and woodworker and I built this van conversion in 2021 on a 2015 Transit 250 Ecoboost High Roof which had only 9k miles on it at the time. I need to free up some finances and I’m looking to find a good home for my favorite project to date. 1. 2015 Ford Transit 148” High Roof 3.5L Ecoboost – only 37,000 miles
2. RWD with Limited Slip Differential – with the weight of the vehicle and the BFG all terrain tires, I’ve never had traction issues.
3. Regeared to 3.73 from 3.31 for larger tires – less than 2500 miles on the new gears
4. New Differential Fluid
5. New Rear Brake Rotors and Pads
6. Full synthetic oil changes for life of vehicle every 7500 miles

1. Cubic Mini Wood Stove to provide dry heat with heat-powered circulation fan.
2. Double wall insulated stainless steel chimney.
3. Porcelain stove base with cement board backing and self-circulating, full height aluminum heat shield for fire safety.
4. Convenient drawer for wood fuel and fire starter – I like to pick up free lumber scraps from Home Depot regularly.

1. I’ve been comfortable in as cold as -15 F and as hot as 90F
2. Walls, body panels, and doors are filled with 3M Thinsulate SM600L Acoustic Thermal Insulation throughout with double insulated aluminum to eliminate thermal bridging.
3. Optional fleece blanket privacy curtain for front cab & optional fleece insulating curtain for rear and sliding door walls for the subzero nights.
4. 1.5” insulated flooring with water proof vinyl laminate flooring in living area & rubber diamond plate in garage.
5. Central Maxxair circulator fan with awning windows over bed and kitchen counter for ample cross breeze in hot weather. With the insulation and air circulation, I’ve been comfortable inside with outdoor temps reaching well into the 90s.

4. Lots of storage, bottom aisle cabinet is a false door to allow pass-through storage for entire length of the van for extra long items.
5. Reinforced TV wall mount to handle heavy TVs, pulls out to face the drivers seat for a workspace or pulls into the aisle for watching movies from bed.
6. Bed doubles as additional top access storage with special access doors.
7. Bed futons upwards to store snowboards and additional gear underneath.
8. Ceiling panels spaced for T-slot hangars to hang clothing anywhere in the van.
