Power System
- Battery: EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra, 5 modules, 30 kWh total. 7,200W inverter, 120/240V in and out. Self-heating batteries — charges safely in any temperature. Charges from EV chargers, 240V plug (7,200W), or standard 110V outlet (1,500W). 14-50R and household cables included. Removable — pull the whole stack out for home backup use.
- Solar: 4× BougeRV 300W rigid bifacial mono panels (1,200W total) on a DIYvan roof rack with angle rail and wide towers. Bolts to factory rails. I’ve pulled 7+ kWh on a clear day mounted flat. All wire gauges correct, safely wired, panels under warranty.
- Distribution: Nilight 8-gang rocker panel. Blue Sea 5026 ST Blade 12-circuit fuse block + second 12-way block. All tinned marine-grade copper. 12/14 AWG triplex runs, Wago connectors throughout — no wire nuts.
Custom 3D-printed stealth under-mount watertight shore power connection box (no drill).
Real-world performance: Without A/C, daily draw is ~1.5–2 kWh; solar produces 5–7 kWh. Net positive indefinitely. With A/C running 24/7, total draw is ~7–10 kWh/day. Solar covers daytime A/C draw, battery handles overnight. A week+ of continuous A/C on solar, 3–4 days on battery alone in overcast.
Climate
- A/C & Heat Pump: TURBRO 10,000 BTU 115V inverter unit, under-bed mounted. Heats and cools. Inverter compressor modulates output (not cycling on/off), so average draw is 300–500W. Heat pump works down to 36°F.
- Heater/Hot Water: Aqua-Hot Gen1 G (included, not yet installed). Gasoline + electric forced-air heater with built-in continuous hot water. Taps the vehicle’s gas tank — no propane. Runs electric on shore power or battery, gasoline when boondocking.
- Insulation: 3M Thinsulate SM600L (70 linear feet) + Low-E EZ-Cool reflective foam. Full coverage floor to ceiling.
Tested through Indiana winter. No propane needed in any season.
