New 2024 Sprinter AWD

   I’ve been building 4 WD Sprinter Vans since 2016. This is my latest and first AWD as Mercedes no longer offers a 4WD. My design has evolved from traveling the deserts, Mts, and beaches of the western US and Canada. I’ve built a self contained camper van with solar powered batteries, diesel fired heater (that produces hot water and heats the interior) and plugs into the van”s diesel tank.

   Bench seat in the kitchen and both front seats swivel with a Laguna table that swings around. Refrigerator/Freezer, 2 burner propane stove/sink combo with glass lids complete the kitchen. A cassette toilet hides away in a cabinet and it even flushes!

   Cherrywood cabinets w/mahogany highlights throughout with reclaimed redwood ceiling milled from 16 ft tall wine vats from Napa vineyards. I built houses for 30 years and this is my conversion to building mini houses on wheels. Van includes 5″ memory foam tri-fold mattress, mosquito net for sliding door, carpet, floor mats and rubber flooring in the garage that pulls out for showers off the back. Fiamma 10’6″ Awning for outside and I’ve designed in access to all the components, plumbing and electrical for repairs or maintenance.

    This is my best van yet and perfect “escape pod” ready to go to find your own special campsite away from the crowds of campgrounds, generators and loud music yet you can also plug in to shore power at grandma’s house.        Happy Trails!!   Chris Nielsen
