2022 Mercedes Sprinter 144. Enjoy AC without plugging in.

This fully custom build was designed to give as much usable open space as possible in a 144WB while still having room for 2 bikes stored in the garage. This was accomplished using a sliding foldup bed. The stowed bed gives access to two 32 inch bench seats to hang out comfortably in the van. The bed deploys to sleep lengthwise. With the bed deployed, you still have access to use your full kitchen and toilet areas.

Bamboo countertops, ceiling, and upper cabinet sliding doors offer an earthy but modern feel. All cabinets are framed from aluminum and inlayed with baltic birch ply topped with laminate for easy cleaning, low maintenance, and durability.

Having over 10,000Wh of power on board, this setup will easily run the DC powered air conditioner for 24 hours with energy to spare. With air conditioning and a vent fan up top, solar space is limited to 350 watts. So we opted for a secondary alternator which pumps out nearly 3000 watts of power to get those batteries topped back off quickly. All is monitored from the digital Victron display. For those cold nights you can rely on the Espar diesel heater to keep things toasty. And when you only need the Maxxair for some airflow, there are two rear vent windows to enjoy that mountain air.

Moving back into the garage. Two lockable Rocky Mounts fork mounts hold bikes in place. For some additional storage, there are cubbies to hold all your additional gear. With the rear doors open, you also have access to a hot outdoor shower. For privacy there is a magnetic curtain that stretches across the doors. On the outside of the rear doors is a ladder for roof access as well as a rack for two additional bikes.
