2021 Mercedes Sprinter 170″ 2WD with Enclosed Trailer

Designed and custom built by an electrical mechanical engineer, this ski/winter ready van and trailer combo has everything you need to work and live remotely. After 2 years on the road all of the kinks have been worked out and it’s ready for more adventures!

We loved the van+trailer setup rather than a larger RV or van alone. A trailer gives you separate workspaces for 2 people, you can drop the trailer when boondocking to have a smaller vehicle for exploring/errands, and lots more room for gear/toys. There’s a lot to be said for having a second room to live in when you’re on the road for months/years at a time!

Our preference is to sell the van and trailer together though we’re open to selling separately.

Special features:

Van:

– Rear wheel drive, which does well in the snow given so much weight on the rear tires

– V6 diesel engine gets ~20 mpg with van alone. ~15mpg when towing trailer (fully loaded)

– Control the lights, heater, locks, and everything all from your phone with a custom app. Can be equipped with a SIM card so that you can control your van from away (make sure your dog is warm/cool, or turn down the heat when you forget, or preheat the hot water tank before you get home!)

– Automatic thermostat to stay warm on those chilly nights or keep your dog comfortable while you ski! Can be programmed with a schedule so the van & trailer are always at the right temperature.

– Havelock wool insulation in walls/ceiling + foam board on floor keeps the van comfortable year-round.

– Dual swivel chairs + Lagun table behind passenger seat. Adjusts between remote work desk height and kitchen counter height with a single knob!

-600 watt solar panels (MPPT) and 6 kWh battery to sustain the fully off-grid lifestyle

-Ability to connect to shore power to charge up those batteries.

– 2-burner induction cooktop means you don’t have to worry about filling propane. Heats quicker than gas and works with most pots/pans!

-9-inch thick queen size mattress

-Deep cabinets, drawers, & bedside table for clothing and kitchen storage

– Built-in shower with thermostatic temperature control (automatically adjusts water temperature so you’re never wasting water getting the right temp or getting blasts of cold water when your partner is doing the dishes!)

–Composting toilet with a second liquids container to extend the time needed between dump station stops.

–Maxxair vent fan for ventilation

–Screened bunk window (next to bed) for extra airflow on warm nights

– 40 Gallon fresh water tank

– 20 Gallon gray water tank for shower + removable 5 gallon gray water tank for kitchen sink.

– Engine coolant water heater (heat water free while you drive). Includes electric element for hot water while you’re parked for long stays

–Large storage under the bed that can hold two road or mountain bikes and much more.

– Engine bracket & necessary wiring mounted for a 140A second alternator to charge house batteries while you drive. We found we didn’t need it though

– Starlink (Gen 2) mount integrated into roof rails. Starlink Gen 2 dish (automatically points itself and uses less power than later generations) free if you purchase van + trailer.

– Under Gross Vehicle Weight Rating when fully loaded (including water tanks)

Trailer:

-Model: 2022 Haulmark TSV610S2. 7 foot tall ceiling. Slightly lifted suspension assures no scraping on back roads.

–Double bed for guests and/or a living space separate from the van

– 6′ wide standing height work desk & wall monitor mount for productive remote work. Can also be used as a dresser to store clothes and gear.

– Tons of additional storage under the bed.

– Independent diesel heater & fuel tank with automatic thermostat.

– Form board insulation in walls/ceiling/floor keeps the trailer comfortable year-round

– Control the lights and heater all from your phone with a custom app

– 300 watt solar panels and 2.5 kWh battery so you can work with or without the van. Includes cable to charge the trailer battery from the van battery.

– Maxxair vent fan for ventilation

– Screened window next to desk for extra airflow

– 30 gallon fresh water tank which can refill the van’s fresh water tank during extended stays

– Under Gross Vehicle Weight Rating when fully loaded (including reserve water tank)
