2020 Ford Transit AWD 148” WB, 27K miles, clean build

I have loved having this van for local travelling in New England. It still has very low miles (~27K), and I have kept it super clean and in great condition. Comes with snow tires as well.

Professional buildout includes electric system, solar panels, Dometic 12V AC, Webasto gas heater, plumbing system, insulation, floor, walls, ceiling, bed frame. I did put in the cabinets myself as a small COVID project.

A few details… The bed frame shown in pictures is fully extended, but it is on sliders and can shorten by about 2.5 feet if you want more floor space in the van. The 3″ foam on the bed is in three pieces, so that you can have the bed at varying lengths. When it’s just me in the van, I often have it pushed in to create more space (since I am 5’4″ and can sleep across the width of the van).

The AC unit above the bed is Dometic RTX 2000, with a new one installed in 2024. The output is very strong, such that I would feel comfortable leaving my dog in there for several hours on a hot day – I think she is sometimes even too cold because I make it extra cold to be cautious.

There is also a MaxAir fan above the kitchen area. It can blow air in OR out, so you could use the portable induction stove and have the fan blow the cooking smell outside.

Webasto heater is installed under the passenger seat. The passenger seat also ROTATES, though I did not show it in pictures.

There are several outlets and USB charge ports around the van. The camp lights plug into one of the outlets for a very cozy feel at night, especially with the black-out shades up.

The rear has a bug screen, so you can leave the back doors open on a nice day. All the windows come with insulated fitted magnetic covers by Vanlife Gear. They work great, completely blocking light and adding to insulation on chilly days.

Under the bed houses 20 gallon fresh water storage (fills from the rear with a hose), the inverter, DC charger, and 400Ah batteries. And there is still PLENTY of room on the inside under-bed area for bags, gear, and a large German Shepherd.

The cabinets and drawers are all secured by latches so they don’t swing open when driving. The fridge is built into the cabinets (there is a matching cabinet front on it) for aesthetic purposes. The sink is a deep 12″, and it drains into a 5 gallon grey water tank, which unscrews for easy dumping out. Note that the sink water is not heated, but I haven’t found this to be an issue.

The cabinets are deep enough to hang jackets and suits so everything stays nice (I have used this for several work trips). The drawer holds a ton of small things, as you can see from the pictures. Overall there is a lot of storage space, including headliner space above the driver/passenger space. Comfortable details like mesh pockets next to the head of the bed (pseudo-nightstand if you will) and hooks by the door make this place feel even more like home.
