*Tour*
From outside the sliding door opening of the van, lift the collapsible table mounted on the side of the seat for convenient outdoor table space. Activate the lights from the right side of the passenger seat to illuminate the sliding doorway. The desk space includes a black leather upholstered cushioned bench adjacent to the sliding door opening. Rotate the walnut lock, of the main poplar headboard, to slide out a 3 foot wide by 4 foot deep 3/4" Baltic birch table from underneath the bed frame. Also on the poplar head-board are two USB-A power outlets, a variable voltage DC power supply, and a constant current DC laptop charger with an array of barrel jack adapters stowed under the seat for almost any type of electronic accessory (18.5volt, 6A power supply will work with most laptops and tablets, use the variable voltage power supply or other AC outlets for anything else). Lift the cushioned bench seat to reveal an illuminated epoxy coated stainless steel lavatory bowl (liquids only) with drain lever. The bowl drains to a 2.5 gallon blackwater tank under the van which can be dumped from an electronic switch under the seat. Also under the seat is 4 cubic feet of illuminated storage space. Underneath the bedframe, at the aft of the bench, a 13.5 gallon Baltic birch trash bin swivels out for easy access on two heavy duty, spring loaded hinges and locks into position with a magnet for easy bag removal. When your finished, simply push bin away and it will swivel precisely and automatically back out of sight. A small "medicine" cabinet perches just above your head in this seat, for storing smaller toiletries with a collapsible mirror. Further above, you will find a small door flush with the ceiling which opens to reveal twelve blade fuses and a single breaker (for AC) for all the accessories of the cabin downstream of the main disconnect. 200ah of Gel batteries are stored underneath the passenger seat which are charged from 200 watts of solar on the roof and an alternator charger connected to the vehicle's power. These can be easily removed via 4 screws on the passenger seat. An upstream and downstream voltage and current indicator just above the batteries show the state of all the batteries, a 100 amp breaker is located next to the batteries which can cut all cabin power.
Beneath your feet in the desk and kitchenette space is an epoxy-coated floor showcasing over 5000 carefully placed pennies bordered by oak trim for a unique look and durability (underneath of which is another 7/8" of Baltic birch for stability).
Deeper in the van the full kitchenette includes a 17.5 cubic foot Baltic birch vanity with 2 doors at the base for larger storage and 3 drawers on soft-close slides on top. Pull out the Dometic CFX55 IM cooler from the base mounted on 500lb capacity slides for cold storage and a second seating area at the head of the sliding desk. On top of the kitchenette sits a double-burner stainless steel propane stove (5lb removable propane tank underneath of sink lasts up to 22 hours of cook time) and a 12" x 12" hammered copper sink with filtered and unfiltered taps. The sink drains to a 4.5 gallon greywater tank directly underneath the van which can be dumped via switch under the sink. The water pump pulls from 24 gallons of freshwater tanks and automatically flows to demand, but a master switch is conveniently located on the kitchenette top as well. The anodized and hammered aluminum backsplash behind the kitchenette curves underneath the top cabinets, bordered by similarly steam-curved walnut border for a beautiful and easy to clean surface. Turn the light switch next to the sink to allow light to flow down the backsplash from above and illuminate the interior of the cabinets. The 1000 watt pure-sine inverter with AC outlet and solar charge controller are nestled humbly off to the right side of the kitchenette for easy access. The main cabin lighting switches (on two way switches which can also be controlled from the bed) can be accessed from the ceiling just to the right of the kitchenette which illuminate the main LEDs along the length and the cabin and the main cabinets (these can also be reached from the driver's seat).
Further down the length you will find the bedroom which includes a welded steel tubing bedframe which is incredibly durable, thin and lightweight. The bed frame is bolted at the center to either inside of the van frame and also redundantly supported at all four corners by free traveling legs for safety. The bed lays 5.5 feet off of street level. On top of the frame is a 6 inch thick full-size memory foam mattress (new). The mattress was chosen for its comfort and weight being it only 35lbs. On either long side of the mattress is an additional 6 inches of space (per side) for storing sheets, pillow, other soft items, or room to expand mattress space to an extra-wide full-size (66 inch). Black PVC peg board flanks both lengths of the bed walls for easily configurable storage of baskets, cupholders, pockets, etc. A digital clock is mounted at the foot-end passenger side of the bed which displays time, temperature, and humidity inside out and outdoors. Above the peg board extends overhead Baltic birch cabinets totaling 13.5 cubic feet of cabinet space for all other kinds of luggage. The skeletal construction inside of the cabinets is intriguing, durable, and also great weight saving at under 50lbs for all overhead cabinets combined weight! Above your head on the bed, you will find two more USB-A charging ports with a phone pocket, two-way switches for the main cabin and cabinet lighting, and a MaxxAir ceiling fan with automatic open/close with remote. Position your phone anyway you'd like from bed in the adjustable aluminum arm which swings out from under the cabinets. A mount for this is included under both sides of the cabinets if you would like to switch sides. On the other driver side of the bed is a double-jointed Baltic birch laptop/tablet table with copper rails which can be positioned comfortably for movie time or work from bed with the portable table which disconnects from the driver side of the bed. A second port for the aforementioned DC laptop charger is also included near this table. Directly behind the head of the bed you will find a wooden knob which pulls down to open the passenger side rear door.
Underneath the bed you can easily spread out all your heavier luggage in the 5 foot wide x 6.5 foot length x 33.5 inch max height (31 inch min height in center) cargo space. Towards the foot of the cargo space (center of the van) you will find a 8kw diesel heater (with remote). At the rear cargo space you will find an AC outlet, a 12v dc car-outlet and barrel jack, an auxiliary mobile modem (can accept SIM card from any major carrier) and router, and a stainless steel port for water intake. The water intake is pump fed and strained into the 24 gallon water reserve at 3 gal/min. The rear doors store a portable fire extinguisher and an outdoor shower handle which is sourced from the freshwater tanks.
The van is insulted with a combination of natural wool, XPS foam, reflective bubble wrap, and spray foam (spray foam only used minimally in hard-to-reach areas). All nooks and crannies where condensation could accumulate are sealed with reflective tape and vinyl tape/marine vinyl. Every piece of wood in the van is sealed on all sides (visible and not) with polyurethane and/or waterproofing seal. There is no pine or otherwise "cheap" building materials anywhere in this van that are not visually appealing and structurally stable over time. Conversely, laminates like Baltic birch is one of the highest grades of plywood you can buy because its appealing look, strength, and stability (contrary to the reputation of birch such as river birch, "Baltic birch" is actually harder than walnut and almost as hard as hard maple). Other hardwoods such as walnut, poplar, and oak compliment the appearance of the Baltic birch. Every piece of this van is purposely selected and crafted for its durability, functionality, and beauty. All metals are either naturally corrosion resistant (aluminum, stainless steel, brass, copper) or coated, blued, or black oxidized. Also included, but not mentioned are custom front window covers and privacy curtains.
In short, this van is built to last and entertain for years to come.
