2018 Ram Promaster 2WD

2018 Ram ProMaster 2500 camper van conversion.

We purchased this van used in 2020 and performed the build ourselves. This is a very unique setup, as it sleeps and drives four, comfortably and safely. We have two small children, so this was essential for us. 

This has many upgrades, detailed below:

• Summer and winter tires. Summers are mounted on 16×6.5 Ultra Toils in Black. Winter tires are Blizzaks on the OEM wheels.
• Extruded 1.5” aluminum roof rack system, in anodized black. 
• Two rooftop-mounted Renogy solar panels, at 100w each. 
• Renogy 12v, 170ah Lithium Battery. Purchased in 2020 (have receipts).
• Renogy charge controller (handles alternator and solar power) 
• Shore power outlet and one interior 120v outlet
• Xantrex Freedom XC 2000 Inverter/Charger
• MaxxFan Deluxe 7500 (front)
• MaxxFan Deluxe 6200 (rear)
• Truckfridge TF130 12/24v refrigerator 
• Webasto gasoline heater
• 12v pump for sink system.
• 12v recessed lighting in ceiling
• 12v power near rear seats
• Air Head composting toilet with 12v fan. We’ve never set it up for active composting, so it’s essentially like new. Toilet is stored out of sight within a cabinet. 
• Booth setup for dining 
• Butcher block dining table rests on Springfield raise/lower pedestal stand that converts to bed
• Custom bunk system made from 1” extruded aluminum (8020).
• Ford Transit seats installed by Access Vans of Idaho
• Cabinet system made from ply and extruded 1” aluminum. 
• Custom insulated window covers for all windows. I installed all windows shown. 
• BugWall screen installed at slider door for additional ventilation

I did this buildout very methodically. The floor system is insulated, with water resistant Marmoluem on top of ½” waterproofed plywood. Walls are insulated with a combination of Thinsulate and rigid poly insulation. Every square inch is maximized for efficiency. Tons of miles and smiles remaining.
