Our van is a 2018 Ram Promaster 3500 Extended body with 130k miles. We built out the van in 2020 and it has been a fantastic adventure rig for us the past two and a half years.
The van is currently set up with a dinette bed in the back that comes down to a 64″x70″ sleep area which puts it a little bigger than a queen. There is a front dinette for eating if you don’t feel like changing over the main sleeping area to table mode and plenty of cabinets and counter space for all your things. Both the front and rear dinettes are set up with Lagun table mounts. The kitchen features several drawers, a space to house a fresh and grey water tank under the sink, and a refrigerator slide out section. 4 new windows were installed throughout with the rear two windows awning opening out to allow cross-breeze even in the rain.
The van features a robust electrical system with 510AH of Renogy Lithium batteries, a 3000w Renogy inverter/charger, and 600w of Renogy solar panels. The electrical is also hooked up to 3 way power so it can be charged off the car alternator while driving, solar, or by shore power.
All of this is there to power a Furrion 14.5K air conditioner so you can keep cool on hot nights. There is also a Webasto evo 40 furnace tied into the van’s gas tank so you always have heat when the weather flips the other way. The evo 40 has automatic altitude adjustment and can heat up the van in no time. The van also has a weBoost Drive cell booster to help keep you connected.
The van is set up for a sink and shower but some additional plumbing work and tanks are required.
Also included extras will be a nature’s head toilet, shore power cables/adapters, snow chains, extra marine pedestal table mount, and rear door windows still in factory packaging.
All the electrical, AC, and the furnace were installed by professionals. The van is also set up with a recreational vehicle title so it is easier and cheaper to insure.
