2016 Ford Transit 2WD

The internal water system allow comfortable, safe camping even in temperatures well below freezing.

(Most RVs cannot be used in below freezing temperatures because water and sewer lines are outside the insulation envelope.)

The Ford Transit gasoline 250 engine and frame is a well known and reliable platform for conversions. The Transit 250 can tow up to 6,000 lbs if you want to pull a trailer. There is ample storage. No rust. Almost new tires

I have enjoyed this conversion van immensely. It provided weeks of “go anywhere, stay anywhere” stealth and boondock traveling and camping. I can park it just about anywhere for free and stay a night or two without raising any questions. It averages about 18 MPG so is easy on the wallet. 

There is a lot of storage. On my most recent trip to Lake Superior I brought : 10×10 screen tent, blow up kayak, REI fold out table, Segway scooter and had plenty of storage left over.

In April I camped for free in a National Forest in North Carolina , on a mountain, and streamed Netflix via Starlink after a long day hiking.

Why am I selling?

We now need an RV that can legally seat more than two people. For a lot more money we purchased a RoadTrek that seats up to six people.
