2017 Ford Transit 350 2WD with extended chassis and medium-high roof. The engine is a 3.7L V6. There are about 150k miles on the van. I’ve owned this vehicle since the spring of 2021. I have all current Carfax information available. I have kept up with regular maintenance and oil changes. The spark plugs and 02 sensors are all new as of a year ago, with little driving since they were replaced. I recharged the A/C system as of Oct ‘26. All tires are new and in great shape with a recent rotation. The brakes are also in good shape and have plenty of pad left.
The engine is not the original that came with the vehicle. I had to replace it in Jan ‘22 because of an engine failure. This happened outside of Phoenix, AZ, and I had the van towed to the closest shop. They originally replaced that engine, and I picked it up and drove it two hours to Tucson, where I was staying with family at the time. When pulling into Tucson, the replacement engine also gave out on me, and I had to get it back to that shop to have them fix the issue. They found another engine that was recently rebuilt, and it was in basically new condition. That's the engine currently in the van, and I have done fully synthetic oil changes for the engine the whole time. I have only put 50k miles on this engine, so it should have plenty of life left. I have all the paperwork from the replacements, and I can elaborate on this situation further if you have any questions.
The van is mostly converted, giving you the opportunity to finish and customize the inside however you would like! There is a subfloor that’s insulated with one large piece of vinyl to finish. There have been no issues with warping or bubbles, and it’s very easy to clean and take care of. The walls and ceiling are framed and insulated. They’re finished with tongue-and-groove wood slats. Built-in cabinets in the rear. I have three retractable metal slats that I used for a bed platform. They can easily be moved or taken out. I have installed one Maxxair fan, and one vent to help with air circulation. I also have custom window covers that can be included.
The electrical system is fully set up and ready to handle full-time living. There’s a 12v 200 AH Deep Cycle AMG battery installed. It’s charged with two 100w solar panels installed on the roof, a direct plug-in charger, and a DC/DC charger that’s almost installed, so you can charge while driving. I just never figured out where to tie the wire into the van. But it should be easy with a little research. The system is powering the fan, ceiling lights, a fridge, and a 12v 1000w inverter. I ran this system for two years full-time with no issues. The fridge was constantly running, and I would run the fan at night for sleep, and as long as I was in a sunny zone, the system would stay charged. I did have to occasionally do the direct plug-in, but that was rare, and it’s nice to have as a backup. I purchased all the major components for the system directly from Renogy.
I have been on some wonderful adventures with this van, but I don’t take it out anymore, so it deserves a new saga. I originally bought it in the spring of 2021 and spent that summer doing the conversion. Hit the road in the fall of that year and spent two years traveling around the Southwest, the West Coast, and the Pacific Northwest. I landed in Oregon two years ago, and I’ve been here since. I’ve taken the van out a few times for camping trips, but I bike around town or take the bus, so it hasn’t been driven much in the last couple of years. I decided I wanted to sell it a few months back, so I’ve been putting in a lot of time cleaning it. Recently, I steam-cleaned the seats, took it to the wash, and got products for detailing the inside. It still has a little wear and tear from being lived in for two years, but it’s looking great, and mechanically it’s in great shape. Plenty of adventures left in this rig! You can have fun customizing the rest of the buildout relatively cheaply. I’m asking 35,000 or best offer. Hope to hear from you!!
