This 2014 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 is a 170 EXT XD high-roof, diesel, 2WD dually converted into a spacious and highly functional camper van.
The extended-wheelbase layout provides a large living area while maintaining a substantial rear garage. The van is total 24ft. in length. The van seats four with four seatbelts and sleeps four with two separate sleeping areas, making it well suited for couples, families, dog owners, outdoor enthusiasts, or anyone who wants significant gear capacity without sacrificing living space.
The conversion is a combination of professional and DIY work completed prior to my ownership.
The van runs well and has received regular oil and filter changes. It currently has approximately 150,000 miles and all-terrain tires with approximately 10,000 miles on them.

SEATING
The van has four belted seating positions.

Removing the rear bench provides additional flexibility when traveling with fewer passengers or when more open floor space is desired.
SLEEPING – SLEEPS 4
The camper has two separate sleeping areas.
**Rear Loft Bed**
A lofted bed is positioned above the rear garage and includes a folding mattress. The bed can be collapsed or removed, allowing the garage area to be configured for larger or taller cargo when needed.
**Convertible Dinette Bed**
The dinette provides table seating during the day and converts into a second sleeping area at night. The upholstered bench cushions are used to create the mattress.
This configuration allows the van to sleep up to four while maintaining a functional dining/living area during the day.
KITCHEN
The kitchen includes:

The removable water jugs make the fresh-water system easy to fill without needing to move the van to a dedicated RV water connection.

The camper carries approximately 12 gallons of fresh water in two removable 6-gallon containers stored beneath the sink.
The exterior shower system uses a pipe/reservoir mounted to the outside of the van. Water can be warmed by the sun and the system can be pressurized for showering.
The shower can also be connected to the van’s interior water supply.
A rear ladder provides convenient access to the roof and exterior shower system.
TOILET
A portable toilet is concealed inside a pull-out cabinet/drawer when not in use.
There is no enclosed interior bathroom, allowing that space to remain available for living and storage.
SOLAR & ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The camper has a dedicated house electrical system separate from the Sprinter’s starting battery.
