Meet Vincent (Van go), our 2014 Sprinter Van we built out in early 2019 (pre-covid) for cross-country tour, long weekends, and our favorite annual Canadian folk-festival. We designed to blend the best of outdoor camping with comfortable, practical, and romantic amenities. He has 169,000 miles and, in his good shape, he has many more to go. We had our bikes on a rack and kayaks on a trailer (can sell separately) for outdoor fun and now it is time to slow down a bit and change the way we do adventures.
Van framed in 80/20 aluminum. Sleeps 2-3 adults or 2 adults and 1 – 2 small children. Full Casper mattress included with doggie space to the side but can fit queen. Slide-out table and refrigerator between two benches that easily convert to a small bed. Slide out for fridge or cooler (Dometic 12v plug installed, a Dometic CFX 75DZ is shown that can be negotiated into the sale). Ample storage over bed, in kitchen, over cabin, and under benches. Easy access garage holds all of our (your) camping, biking, kayaking and fishing equipment. Has 25 gallon fresh water tank and 7 gallon gray water tank and outdoor shower. Permanently installed bug screens in back and side doors, and constructed front window screens, insulating cover for back window. Back bed fan and reading light. Thermo Top EVO coolant heater, some plumbing, a heat exchanger for the hot water, and reservoir are all in place but not currently operational and a great value for someone seeing it through completion for camping in really cold conditions.
Service records are all available. Bought van as second owner with 130K miles and replaced all seals and gaskets in the engine then. Vince has had yearly check ups at our local Sprinter service, and all warranty work has been done with the exhaust system. An occasional check engine light appears when it hasn’t been started in a while, but we’ve had this examined and told it is a “quirk” as opposed to a significant issue; it does not affect van performance. The exterior of the van is in good condition.
Vincent is currently in Vermont, but can be in the Asheville NC area this spring.
