Self-Built Camper Van – Cozy Cabin Vibe, Adventure Ready

This self-built van isn’t perfect, but it’s full of character and has a warm, cabin-like feel that makes it an inviting home on the road. Originally part of a well-maintained fleet at the ranch I manage in Wyoming, it was primarily used as an airport transport vehicle before I purchased it. Since moving into a year-round position, I no longer have the time to use it as intended, so I’m looking for someone who’ll take it on its next chapter.

1. Well-maintained, previously fleet-owned
2. Rear-wheel drive, good clearance for campsites
3. Approx. 16 mpg (tested during winter travels)
4. Tires new as of May 2024 + spare
5. New windshield wipers
6. A few minor cosmetic dings (no structural or mechanical issues)

1. Fixed bed with hinged platform for front/back access
2. Ample storage underneath with large pullout drawer + 3 semi-separate gear areas
3. Comfortable sleeping length (I’m 5’7” and can stretch out fully)
4. Bed height allows sitting upright without hitting ceiling
5. Cedar plank ceiling (still smells great)
6. Insulated floor with subfloor + padded LVP
7. Walls/ceiling insulated with Havelock wool

1. Bluetti AC240 battery system with 250W portable solar panels + 500W alternator charger
2. BougeRV 30L fridge/freezer on a slide-out
3. Chinese diesel heater (reliable, tested in single digits, remote controlled)
4. MaxxAir fan (4-speed)
5. Deep sink with hand-pump faucet + 5-gallon removable water tank
6. Six recessed LED puck lights on dimmer switch

1. Two overhead cabinets over the bed + additional overhead behind driver’s seat
2. Two large pullout drawers + lots of counter space
3. Homemade insulated window covers (Havelock wool + reflectix + duck cloth)
4. Heavy blackout curtain separating cab from living space
5. Swivel passenger seat
6. Folding tables on one rear door & one side door

1. Dash-mounted heavy-duty iPhone clamp
2. Ceiling plate with friction arm (for camera, lights, or phone)
3. Blackout + insulation made it comfortable to heat minimally in cold conditions
4. Hubcap dent + small dings from light ranch use (cosmetic only)

1. No mechanical issues — van is in excellent working order
2. Reliable in various conditions (only time stuck was in deep sand, driver error)
3. High clearance makes it easy to navigate rocky or uneven roads
