The biggest little van on the market. This is a 2006 Dodge/Mercedes Sprinter 2500 in the rare 118″ wheelbase. This vehicle is fully loaded, with a sunroof, heated seats, cruise control, tow package, and back-up sensors to make parking a breeze. Best turning radius of any vehicle, easy to drive in the city and highway. The custom high-quality professional build, with all major scheduled and preventive maintenance having been performed, makes this rig ready for the next adventure.
Vehicle history:
This vehicle was originally a passenger van. I am the second owner. I’ve owned it since 48,000 miles, purchased in 2012 from a Mercedes dealership in Provo, Utah. Clean title and all maintenance records are available. Recent work includes: New water pump, harmonic balancer/crankshaft pulley, idler pulleys, tensioner and pulley, fan clutch, serpentine belt, and radiator. New front and rear suspension. New front brake pads and rotors. Steering rack and pinion, ball joints, and wheel bearings. All service was redone with new OEM parts. New rear differential gasket and fluid. Full transmission service and coolant flush. New fuse box and multi-function switch. Aftermarket stereo and rear speakers. Recently detailed and touched up for cosmetics. Currently driving on new Transforce HT2 tires on 16″ alloy rims. I used PowerService at every fill up to ensure the engine is running smoothly and injectors stay clean. I also ran BG 245 (A diesel fuel system cleaner) every 15K miles. Comes with lots of extra parts I’ve accumulated over the years, a second set of snow tires on OEM 15″ steel rims, and snow chains.
Build information:
I’ve owned three vans and this is my 4th build after 15 years of van life. Thus, I’ve refined the build knowing what works and what doesn’t, to make it a versatile cozy weekender or long-term dwelling while still maintaining the vehicle for its functional purpose as a truck. For example, the floor space features a fully open 4′ by 8′ clearing to easily slide building material (plywood, drywall, or lumber), skis, or whatever other large objects you need to transport into the vehicle without having to dismantle cabinetry. Head height in the main cabin is 5′ 3″, or 5′ 9″ if standing in the entry step. Bedroom sleeping length is 5′ 8″ (that is, a person that is 5' 8" can sleep comfortably without having to sleep sideways or bend knees while sleeping), width is 4′ 6″. The build features:
- 200 watt Renogy solar kit and charge controller.
- Solar meter and battery monitor.
- 250 Amp/hr Vmax AGM battery bank.
- Freedom HFS 2500 Watt Pure sine wave inverter/charger. Charges batteries off of shore power (standard 120VAC from exterior outlet) and passive charging while vehicle is running.
- 120VAC outlet from inverter.
- USB-3 chargers and cigarette lighter-style charging station.
- Maxxair fan.
- Two sets of LED lighting with dimmer switches. One set in main cabin and the second set are for over the cooktop while cooking/food prep.
- CO and propane gas detector.
- 2kW 12V diesel heater with 2 gal fuel tank.
- Dometic 12V top-open refrigerator.
- Dometic propane cooktop with dual sink/drain.
- 10 gallon capacity water reservoir.
- Dual swivel seats.
- Custom wood cabinetry with auto locking cabinet doors.
- Large garage/trunk space for inside storage of a mountain bike, crashpads, gear, etc…
