Meet Martha; Martha is a 2006 Dodge Sprinter 140” high roof van, she is a veteran adventure van built for dependable, off-grid, remote travel. Thoughtfully designed as a full-time rig, she has all the comforts of your home, but would also make an excellent weekend adventurer. With plenty of room for gear, we skied, mountain biked, and climbed our way from New Hampshire to Alaska, Mexico, and back. Martha’s pre-emissions om647 2.7l 5-cylinder engine with 199k continuously returns 22MPG, cruises happily at 65mph, does great in winter snow, and thrives on the back roads. With the 33-gallon water tank and 65L Dometic fridge, we can easily pack food and water for 10 days. The living space is equipped with a full kitchen, dining for two, a shower, and a toilet. The bed is cozy and comfortable for lounging and sleeping. The garage stores all the outdoor gear you need, 2 29er mountain bikes, at least 2 pairs of skis, sport climbing gear for 2 and room for extra. The Espar diesel heater kept us warm when we slept at -15°F in Colorado. She has indoor and outdoor hot showers (shower off at the trail head!), hot water to the sink, a composting toilet, propane stove/oven, a large deep sink, Maxx Air fan, a propane on demand water heater, solar on the roof, 400ah of AGM batteries, and so much more. Martha was built by an Engineer, with an understanding for reliability, quality workmanship/parts, and attitude towards preventive maintenance. She is up to date on her maintenance, and has a new reman transmission. The T1N platform, which is used worldwide, provides unmatched reliability, economy, and drivability. Martha drives like your car, gets 22+mpg, doesn’t require DEF or ULSD, and carries everything you need to travel full-time in style and comfort. You won’t find another 140” van with all of these options built out.
