Scenarios I made the design around
Warm Wilderness Hangouts – The two swivel seats combined with the bench seat and bed allow for 4 people to casually hangout and hold a conversation over drinks. A natural place to return to after being cold outdoors.
Work from the Road – A table pulls out underneath the bed and combined with the bench seat and inverter, allows you to work.
Powershowers – I’m not big on outdoor showers but it’s undoubtably nice to have once or twice a week when I’m camping. The outdoor shower is perfect for this.
Privacy Is My Main Sleep Aide – I hate people looking in on me. I designed the cockpit curtain system to prevent anyone from being able to shine a flashlight or headlight into my interior. It’s seamless so I can sleep comfortably.
Cooking Cross Ventilation – The vent and the fan allow you to cross ventilate the space, making it super easy to dispel cooking smoke even while stealth camping.
Vehicle History/Maintenance
I am the second owner of the vehicle and the person who converted it. It was previously a fleet vehicle for a locksmith. I have owned it for 5 years and have put 60k miles on it traveling the western united states.
I have a full record of all the maintenance done on the van. You’re welcome to check it out, I might be willing to send it via email, just ask
Here’s what I’ve replaced: High Pressure Water Pump, High pressure fuel pump, Glow Plugs, Radiator, Harmonic Balancer, Struts and Tie Rods. I have done regularly scheduled oil replacements/topoffs.
Current problems?
Every 50th acceleration from the 3rd to the 4th gear the vehicle shutters a little. The fix is to either relax the acceleration and reaccelerate or to apply enough power to get onto the next gear.
Some of the tires are unevenly worn on one side from when I didn’t rotate them on time.
The AGM batteries are at the end of their 5 year lifespan. I can replace them for you, or take the cost of replacing them into account. If you prefer LiPo batteries, this is a chance to get them.
Small scuffs on the exterior. You can rewrap the exterior in Tijuana in a color of your choosing.
This vehicle is adventure ready.
