'87 Vanagon Weekender with 2008 Subaru 2.5L 170hp engine swap.
Selling my beloved adventure companion. Has been my daily driver since May 2020, with several longer trips. Reliable, solid, and comfortable van. Starts every time and easily maintains highway speeds thanks to the Subaru engine. Manual transmission. No kitchen, but saves space, weight, and maintenance. Back seat folds into a bed for two, and pop-top sleeps one comfortably (or two if you're happy to be cozy).
Approx 110,000 miles on the engine and 210,000 on body. Transmission rebuilt, and new cooling system (including stainless coolant pipes) installed at the time of engine swap (2011). New clutch 2012.
Records back to 2011. Regular servicing and oil changes. Stored in garage. Very little rust on body (see picture).
Tent canvas is watertight but has seen better days. New tent included but not installed. Also included: reflective insulated window covers for camping.
