2017 Ram ProMaster 2500 Camper Van – DIY Conversion – Adventure Ready
For sale is my 2017 Ram ProMaster 2500 camper van that I converted myself. It has been a reliable adventure vehicle and is mechanically sound. Reason for selling is that I have started a new job in which I travel by air a lot for work and only see the van every other weekend.

Solar System:
The van is wired with a complete solar electrical system, including all of the major components. The system was fully functional previously but currently needs new solar panel and a battery to be operational again. The electrical system is already connected to the 12V refrigerator, ceiling vent fan, ceiling fan, ceiling strip lights, and inverter. I simply haven’t had the time to replace the panels and battery.
Mechanical Condition:
The van is mechanically sound. It has lived most of its life in CA and the last 3 years in Arizona so no rust or water issues.
It has a engine code of “P2099”. I have had this looked into by multiple service shops and they all ultimately recommended not chasing after it since it does not drive any differently. They think it is a faulty oxygen sensor because when I use a catalytic cleaner the code goes away for a few days. I have driven it without issue with this code for over 6000 miles.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a well-built camper van that’s ready to use while offering room for personal upgrades. The major conversion work has already been done, and the only significant project remaining is refreshing the solar system if off-grid power is important to you.
Feel free to message me with any questions or to schedule a time to see it! Keep in mind I am only available every other weekend usually so I’m not willing to meet anywhere except San Ramon to limit time driving around meeting people on my off-time.
