Up for sale is our rust free 2006 Ford E-350 extended cargo van with a 24” high top and 6.0 powerstroke diesel. We purchased two of these vans a few years ago and have been camping in one and using this one for hauling trailers and building materials. It was our ultimate goal to eventually make this our camper but we bought an ambulance and have made that our new camping rig.
I am a heavy equipment mechanic and operator and have extensive knowledge on all the power stroke platforms so I knew right away what was going to need to happen with the engine before a build to make it reliable as I have been down this road before with 6.0l’s. I have invested around $10k in the motor alone and lots of man hours getting this van ready for a build.
All work was done by myself in my shop which included removing the body stripping down the motor to a short block then replacing the heads with Kill Devil Diesel o ringed heads, ARP studs, updating the STC fitting on the HPOP, installing a Bullet proof diesel remote oil cooler kit, replacing the turbo with a factory replacement, replacing all 8 injectors with factory replacements, replacing all 8 glow plugs with factory replacements, replacing the fan shroud, replacing the complete engine wiring harness, replacing the water pump with a Bullet Proof diesel unit, installing a new factory thermostat, installing a new vacuum pump, installing a blue spring kit, replacing the alternator with a factory unit, installing a Bullet proof diesel H core EGR cooler, replacing various hoses and intake boots, replaced all body mounts and painted the bottom side of the body with POR-15 2k urethane paint. Replaced all four shocks with KYB gas adjust units, replaced both battery trays with factory units and installed new batteries, installed ford factory pop out rear windows, installed Edge EAS EGT sensor, installed prodigy P2 brake controller with ford factory jumper harness, installed cat back MBRB 4” exhaust with resonator.
The list is almost endless as to what I have done to the van and no corners have been cut. I have receipts for most the parts it does have a mild 60hp tune meant for a van and the SCT x4 programmer will be included in sale along with a CTS3 monitor. All factory parts including heads, oil cooler assembly and exhaust system will be included I also have a set of new seats that I will include in the sale as well.
