2001 Ford Econoline 2WD with Braun Ambulance Box

FS: 2001 Ford E-450 7.3L Diesel Braun Ambulance Camper – 129k Miles, Certified Clean, 300Ah Lithium Solar – Lorton, VA / NC

Forum Intro Post:

Hey everyone,

Putting up a highly sought-after, pre-emissions 7.3L Power Stroke Diesel Ford E-450 paired with a premium Braun aluminum box.

The chassis spent its entire operational life in Southern Illinois (clean, solid frame away from heavy rust-belt salt) before I purchased it in 2020. It has exceptionally low mileage for this legendary engine layout at 129,534 original miles.

I am permanently relocating out of state on November 1st and looking to secure a clean, fast transaction before the move.

The Quick Highlights:

1. Mechanically Certified: Received a 100% clean bill of health inspection at Next Tire LLC in Lorton, VA on September 25, 2026 (Invoice #14099). Fresh oil service, repaired reverse lights, and zero air leaks.
2. New Rear Drivetrain: Fully replaced by a heavy truck shop in March 2023—an institutional-grade $8,000 overhaul that completely eliminates the primary mechanical wildcard on heavy dual-rear-wheel chassis.
3. Unused Premium Renogy Lithium Solar: Includes an uncycled matching Renogy setup purchased in 2022. Features a massive 300 Ah LiFePO4 Lithium battery (stored climate-controlled), a 2000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter (P2), and a 400-Watt solar kit cleanly mounted to the roof.
4. Interior Camper Comforts: Custom seamless cedar plank ceiling with integrated flush lighting and high-efficiency roof vent, full-size bed layout, stainless sink with running water/tanks, microwave, multi-burner camp stove/oven unit, and a built-in Kuppet 12V refrigerator/freezer.
5. Bonus Materials: Includes a bundle of extra matching premium cedar planks to finish out the remaining interior side panels.
6. Paperwork: Clean, lien-free Virginia Title is in hand and ready to sign over.

The Logistics & Price:

1. Asking Price: $19,500 OBO (Aggressively adjusted downward to account for minor needed exterior box cosmetics and paint).
2. Location: Securely stored in Lorton, VA. I am moving to the Topsail Beach, NC area on Nov 1st. If it doesn't sell by October 31st, I will be driving it down the I-95/US-17 corridor right after Thanksgiving, so I can coordinate delivery or viewings along my travel route to coastal North Carolina for a committed buyer.
