2014 Ram ProMaster 3500 Cargo Van – 159” Extended Wheelbase
Thank you for your interest in my ProMaster. I am transitioning into a new career that requires a vehicle capable of fitting in a parking garage, so—regretfully—I am offering this van for sale.
I purchased the van new in 2015 from C.H. Urness Motors in The Dalles, Oregon, and it has been meticulously maintained ever since. Most servicing was completed by the original dealership until our move to Missouri in 2025. Complete service records and receipts are available. The van has never been involved in an accident, has no mechanical or electrical issues, and everything functions exactly as it should.
The van currently has just 48,650 miles and is in exceptional condition inside and out. New Back Country AT2 tires were installed in late 2023 and have approximately 15,000 miles on them (date code 22/23). It was fully serviced on May 3rd and is road-ready with no outstanding maintenance needs.
We commissioned a professional semi-conversion through Van Specialties in Tualatin, Oregon, with the intention of eventually completing a full camper build. However, after purchasing a motorhome, we used the ProMaster far less than anticipated, which explains the unusually low mileage and excellent condition.
One of the standout features of this build is its versatility. The van comfortably seats five passengers and includes a large rear sleeping platform, while still retaining the ability to quickly convert back to a near full-capacity cargo van. Unlike many fixed camper conversions—especially those with additional seating—this setup preserves exceptional cargo flexibility. The removable bed and seating system allow the interior to be reconfigured quickly depending on your needs. A complete list of build specifications is included below.
A comparable setup purchased today would easily exceed $70,000, with a new ProMaster alone now priced around $60,000+. In addition, several desirable features available on the 2014 model—most notably the sliding driver-side door with glass, one of the reasons I specifically chose this van—are no longer offered.
Before purchasing, I extensively compared and test drove both the Ford Transit and Mercedes Sprinter. I ultimately chose the ProMaster because it offered:
– Outstanding interior cargo dimensions with nearly vertical walls, making it ideal for camper or utility builds (plus I can easily stand and change in it with head room to spare)
– A low floor height (approximately 21”) for easy loading, unloading, and daily usability
– Front-wheel drive and a remarkably tight turning radius, making it far easier to maneuver and park than many full-size vans
– Enough interior width to accommodate a six-foot bed platform either lengthwise or crosswise
