Meet Bob! Stands for “Be Outside Baby” named after the dealership he was purchased at in 2022.
3.0L V6 Diesel
RWD
145,000 miles
Clean Title
I bought him as an empty cargo van and over the last few years have built and rebuilt the interior a number of times in an effort to maximize the usability and functionality of the space.……but now we have a little one on the way!! This is why Bob is for sale because there’s no 3rd seat and we want to purchase a truck and truck bed camper to accommodate our dogs and baby.
Features:
– Bluetooth Stereo
– Rooftop Shower Tank
– 200 watt solar panel
– MaxxAir Fan w/ remote control
– Variable LED puck lights
– Diesel Heater (fuel line is plugged into the diesel tank of the van which means nearly unlimited heat. We have slept in the van in sub zero temps and never had a problem staying warm)
– Pecron 1500 Watt Battery Bank (there are 3000 watt expansion batteries that can be linked to this bank, so it is very expandable if you desire. I think you can chain up to 4 3000 watt expansions giving massive battery bank potential)
– USB & USB C outlets all over the van walls and inside cabinets as well.
– 120v outlets inside kitchen cabinet and on bench seat
– 20 amp external plug so you can plug the van in with just about any extension cord into any regular outlet)
– King Size Bed (modified slightly to fit the van perfectly. I am 6’2 and my feet hang off a little bit, but it very comfortable)
– Under sink fits 1ea 6 gallon grey water tank and 2ea 6 gallon fresh water tanks
– Faucet is a battery powered (rechargeable with micro usb) water pump that goes straight into the fresh water tanks
– Fiamma F45s awning (brand new never used. I installed it a few months ago and we never got to use it on a camping trip)
– Swivel Shop Swivel seat on passenger seat
– Magnetic insulated window covers for passenger and driver windows
– Window shade and window insulation for the front windshield
– Floors are brand new within the last few months. My initial subfloor framing I did wrong so I took everything out, and fixed the framing and put new flooring down. (The good news is after years of being covered there was no mold, mildew or moisture damage to anything underneath the flooring.)
– There is a brand new cassette toilet (in package never used) we had one we used but felt it was gross to sell with the van. This kind of toilet is a great use for #1 but not #2. We used the cassette for midnight uses or occasionally while on the highway trying to make good time on our travels!
– Insulation is 3M Thinsulate in the walls (double up next to the bed) and hard board in the ceiling and floor. (It holds its temperature very well.)
– Roof rack is built out of Unistrut, so it’s basically adult legos. There is space up there to add a second 200 watt solar panel OR put a little deck. I was going to put a deck, but figured I’d leave it so the next owner can do as they please.
– Lagun table mount. Perfect to swivel around for eating for 2 or using as a desk. – Butane single burner stove for cooking
– Camp knife set
– 12v Iceco refrigerator
We purchased Bob with 70,000 miles and have put another 70,000 on ourselves. We have taken him from Nashville to Upstate NY countless times to visit family and across to California to escape winter weather. Mechanically this van is rock solid. Even in freezing temps it fires up immediately, has never leaked any fluids. Bob is designed to be as simple, efficient and user friendly as possible. The water tanks are removable and easy to carry. We like RO water so we always refilled them at Primo water stations or grocery stores RO refills. The 200 watt solar panel helps keep the battery bank charged and it also charges while driving. The bank is easily removable so if it dies, you can pull it out and run into a Starbucks and charge. Typically within 20-30 minutes it can get it back up to 80% or more. There’s plenty more to tell you about, but this is already a long description. I love this van and am sad to see it go, but I love talking about it and have loved building it from the ground up.
I am very open to negotiating so if you are interested, let’s talk.
