My partner and I received our Geotrek minimalist build in July based on on brand new Transit build from Phil Long Ford in Denver, and have added water and the kitchenette setup (sourced from Vanworks in Fort Collins, CO), and have made 7 trips (about 25 nights total) in the van with our two dogs. We have unfortunately realized we would significantly benefit from having a longer van for the 4 of us as we start to go on longer and longer trips. This means we’re looking to sell the 148 Transit we’ve purchased.
The van has a Geotrek minimalist build, with a few options added on, but the full rundown:
2023 Ford Transit AWD 148WB, avalanche grey
Plywood flooring, covered with lonseal
Wood walls painted with Geotrek’s recommended interior ScuffDefense paint
Stained wood ceilings with dual row overhead LED lighting
2 reading lights above bed
Elevated bed, and under-bed storage cabinets (left side holds 33gal fresh water, right side holds 600ah power, both sides have plenty of extra storage!)
Passenger swivel seat
Ecoflow Wave 2 AC/Heater, runs off battery bank efficiently and effectively (we’ve been in the van through 90 degrees down through 25 degrees and it keeps up in every situation)
450W Renogy Solar panel on van roof
Maxxfan 7500 on roof above bed
WeBoost on roof
600ah of battery provided by Ecoflow Delta Pro + Delta Pro extra battery
33gal potable water tank over driver wheel well (NWConversions)
16gal grey water tank mounted underneath van (NWConversions)
40″ Galley with bamboo counter top complete with sink, NovaKool refrigerator, electric water pump
Read door ladder
We wanted the van to feel very open and spacious, so there is minimal cabinetry taking up floor space, and most storage is under the bed. The bed is high enough to store an upright 29r mountain bike underneath, but low enough to sit up while in the bed!
The van is also a crew model, so it has the option to add back in rear seats via the factory seat rails (we wanted maximum options in case we wanted to travel with friends or add a single jumpseat!). Our solution for the missing seat rails in full camper mode is two plywood/lonseal inserts that match the rest of the floor that fill the seat rail space neatly.
I am happy to answer any questions or show more photos to interested buyers! Flexible on price/open to offers!
