This 2019 Ford Transit 250, Low Roof 130 wheelbase adventure van is a true 4WD van with a high/low transfer case, converted by Northwest Quadvan in Portland, Oregon. They installed Bilstein shocks and more. Other features installed by Quadvan are the Webasto gasoline heater and skid plates, front, engine, transfer case and gas tank plates. A Van Compass rear differential skid plate has also been installed.
The pop-up tent was installed at Field Van (formerly Sportmobile) in Fresno, California, in Jan. 2022. This allows you to stand up in the low roof van as well as sleep in the pop-up.
It has an Aluminess front bumper with a Warn Winch and an air compressor mounted inside (installed at Summit 4×4 in Prescott, AZ).
The van also has an Aluminess rear tire carrier with new full size spare tire and trash bag.
An ARB awning is mounted over the side doors.
A National Luna 60L slide out fridge/freezer has plenty of room for all your groceries.
There is a UV and 5 micron water filtration system in place for 20 gallons of fresh water on board. The kitchen has a Dometic RV sink and a foot pump to conserve water.
There is a LOT of storage in this van, with large and deep upper and lower cabinets, one cabinet next to the refrigerator is used for the composting toilet. The van is all electric with one burner induction cooktop and an Instant Pot for cooking.
The electric/solar system was professionally installed by Durango RV Repair and Solar. The system has 200Ah of lithium batteries (SOK), a 3,000 watt inverter/charger, dc to dc charge controller, solar charge controller, battery monitor all from Victron Energy.
The cabinets are constructed with 1 inch aluminum tubing and are very light weight! With the full build, a full tank of gas and full tanks of water as well as the two of us the van is 1,000 pounds under the payload max.
This van’s versatility is the key. It drives like a car when the top is down, you can drive it places other vans can’t because it has 4WD, and when camping, it has plenty of room for both of you with the pop-top.
Additional items include an REI foldable table, one foldable chair, Instant Pot, induction cooktop, and induction compatible pans.
As of May 11, it has 50,000 miles. This van is registered in Arizona as RV/Motorhome. In January, 2023, it got new rotors, brakes, and tires.
