VAN LIFE READY! Selling this decked out 2005 Dodge 3500 Sprinter camper van.
Back in summer of 2020 when the world was shut down, I decided to pursue my dream of making an off grid Sprinter adventure van! It took me about 4 months to do the build and it was a LOT of work!
They call these T1N vans the “Million Mile Sprinter” because when properly maintained, they can go 500,000+ miles. I also decided to buy this model of van because it was made before all these new diesel regulations and has a “simpler” diesel design than the newer vans.
Over the last few years I have worked out all the “kinks” and replaced almost all the components under the hood. I also just had a remanufactured engine installed at the Sprinter Expert shop in Sun Valley with approx 60,000 miles. It has a 90 day warranty that carries through until 11/15/2023. Registration is paid through 8/31/2024
This has been a labor of love, and having a “house on wheels” that you can park in a normal parking spot…is AWESOME!!! The van is also somewhat stealth in its outward appearance and doesn’t necessarily look like a camper. I love being able to have the spontaneity to drive to various locations in nature and not need to make a reservation. It has everything you need to live comfortably off grid.
The reason I am selling it is because I work in the film industry…which has been shut down/on strike for MONTHS! It has been a very stressful time and I need to raise capital for my living expenses.
The list price is based purely on my cost of materials and upgrades, which I have a spreadsheet of, showing every expense. I am not adding on $ for the months of labor it took to create. Total materials cost is $42,491.63
What I can do is to sell you the van for $6k, which will lower your registration / tax. Then sell you the conversion package separately. This will lower govt associated fees.
