This 2018 conversion is 100% ready to take you on an adventure or to be your tiny home in your friends backyard! 2006 Sprinter 2500 High top 158 WB
Vanlife in style with queen size bed, large sink, fridge and tons of storage space. Haul two bikes and any of your other outdoor gear in the “garage” below the lifted bed platform. This converted fedex van has a locking slider door between the “home” and the drivers cab so you can close yourself off from the outside world and be stealthy in a city. We have taken this van across the country twice and I have lived in it on various job sites for months at a time. There is no bathroom but who wants to poop in a van anyway? Details below:
Home details:
-Queen size bed raised up to fit bicycles below.
-Custom curved roof - one of a kind!
-Maple countertops
-Cabinets all custom made with baltic birch - built to last!
-Polyiso insulation in roof and walls
-Fan-Tastic Vent 5000RBT reversible and thermostat
-Lockable door between driver/passenger seat and the living quarters.
-Bicycle drawer can fit two bicycles
-Foot pump powered sink (5 gallon clean and gray water tanks)
-Large sink for doing dishes
-Stove - we just use a portable propane stove
-I am 5’11” and can stand up straight and probably have about an inch of clearance.
-Includes curtains for rear and left side window that snap in place
-Slider door has custom wooden slat wall can be used with PROSLAT hooks
-Bottom drawer is a step stool to get up onto the bed
Electrical details:
-Qty 4 x 100 AH Batteries in sealed and vented cabinet
-150W Solar panel mounted to roof on vantech roof rack (can also be used for boat storage)
-Charger CTEK 250S allows for charging from van alternator and solar panels
-LED lights controlled by remote control
-Overhead lights with auto shutoff after 5 minutes
-USB charging outlet mounted to bed.
-WAECO DC fridge (efficient, draws about 5-6A)
-I have also run some extra wires to the kitchen and garage for future wiring needs
-Backup camera
Van details:
-2006 Dodge Sprinter, 208,XXX miles. 2.5L diesel turbo Mercedes engine.
-T1N sprinters are great - gas mileage in the low 20s
-Just passed inspection has 4 new brake rotors and pads.
-I have all the records from the van since purchased
The not so good:
-Driver seat: Has a small rip in it and shows some wear.
-Front cab in general: We have not done anything to fix up the front as we think it helps with the stealth look. It shows!
-This conversion was done three years ago. It is still in great condition but there is some wear and tear on some of the drawers and in the garage.
-Locks: Have to use the keys, clicker doesn’t work
-Some rust on the back door and various spots.
-Muffler - just had to have it welded up to pass inspection. This is probably the next big ticket item that will need to be addressed in the next few years.
If you have made it this far and you have any more questions shoot me a message! I am happy to give you a video tour of the van or take detailed photos of anything I missed or answer any specific questions. We are selling because we are new parents and this van can only fit two!
