Meet me and my wife’s home on wheels for the past year! This van has been an absolute champion through ski trips/snow, camping, stealth city sleeping, getting to rough trailheads, and more. We are sad to let her go, but we have moved back into a house for a little more room for a future family. This van is PACKED with features that are super convenient for full-time, or extended trip living.
This eco-diesel engine should last much longer than the 82k miles she has on her, and that leaves you years of enjoyment from our van! Whether you want to downsize and reduce costs, or just have an awesome, ready-to-roll camper that fits in a normal parking space for weekend adventures, you should consider our girl!

Some highlights-
800watts solar and a 400ah lithium battery bank– in the summer this is definitely overkill, but it’s clutch for those low-light winter days or weeks, so you never have to worry about running the heater all day. It also is enough solar to where it could easily handle running a DC air conditioner, like the EcoFlow wave or Zero Breeze mark 3. This van also has shore power and a 50amp DC-DC charger. You will NOT run out of power.
On-demand hot water via hydronic heating system!- I honestly didn’t really know what this was when we bought our van, but it is probably my favorite feature. When this diesel furnace system is running, it powers the hot air, and gives on-demand hot water for as much water as you have. And it’s on whenever the heat is running, so pretty much whenever it’s cold out, you have hot water. Washing your face or hands in the morning, or doing dishes with warm water vs cold water is an absolute game changer. You also don’t have to worry about killing all your electricity to warm up a measly 4 gallons of hot water, or only be able to get hot water from an external shower system. Trust me, this system ROCKS. You don’t see it in a lot of builds because the components themselves cost around $3,400. The air-blower/heater is also on a thermostat, so you can just set it and forget it and not worry about anything freezing while you are away.
Vertical closet for ~20 garments- If you’re living in a van full-time or even for more than a few days at a time, you’ll appreciate having a spot to hang clothes, avoid wrinkles, and tuck jackets without them just being hooked everywhere. We fit about 10 items each, with space below for a couple of baskets of clothes
Broad arrow 1 Folding seat- This is the 3rd seat in the back with a normal seatbelt and clips for a child seat, that folds down into a bench. When this is folded flat, combined with the swiveling front driver seat, you can get into a nice recliner-type position, or sleep a child or short friend up to about 5ft tall. (Again- less popular than it would be if it wasn’t so cost-prohibitive)
Double swivel front seats and lagun swiveling table- Turn the living space into whatever you want, a work desk, dinner table, or lounge area with the flexibility of all 3 of the seats. This really helps with staying out of the way while your van-mate is moving around, if there are two of you
Diesel 2-burner cooktop- Not a super common option, but it cooks great, and eliminates the need for another fuel source! If you have diesel and water, you are ready to hit the road!!
6” Memory foam RV QUEEN mattress- Not a lot to say here besides that you should NOT settle for a chintzy RV mattress or convertible mattress. We sleep as well or better in the van than we do at home. RV queen is the width of a queen, but only 75” long instead of 80”
130 liter isotherm cruise fridge with freezer- Easily holds a week of food for two people, and the little freezer came in handy so many times for ice cream, ice cubes, trader joes frozen goods, etc. We didn’t think we needed one when we first bought a van, but are so glad we had it
SO MUCH STORAGE- Big cabinets over the bed, mason jar storage over the stove, Big pantry over the fridge, SEVERAL drawers, a big storage over the cab, and a massive “garage” under the bed — We were able to hold climbing gear, ski gear, camping gear, spare-clothes bins, gym bags, spare shoes, and our work bags simultaneously and with ease, all in the garage
Speaker system on the house battery- two boat speakers are built into the rear doors, and run on the house battery with a bluetooth system, so you can jam out as long as you want or watch a movie with good sound without having to use your vehicle speakers/car battery. Most vans probably have this, but it’s very nice to have, and nice they are on the rear doors, so you can point them wherever you want when you are camping
Other- BF Goodrich AT KO2 tires (gold standard for outdoorsy vans), Outdoor shower (with hot water), AIMS inverter/charger that has a 6000watt surge capability for 60 seconds, and 2000watts constant output, dimmable lights over the living area and over the bed, under-cabinet LED lighting, pop-up countertop space with hand-cut elmwood, bluetooth batteries (renogy) and solar charger (victron), battery monitor built into the wall, flood lights in the rear doors, 110v outlets and 12v outlets throughout van, 7 gallon under-mounted gray water tank with bypass for the winter
Repairs- we had a faulty temp sensor and a small oil leak, both completely fixed recently. We have had other repairs over the year like an alternator and water pump, and we had all of these fixed with ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER PARTS, and she is running great.
She gets about 18mpg average, combining city and highway, but gets 23-25 on long road trips

- Self-tightening tire chains for deep snow- we made it over rabbit ears pass during a 24” snowstorm WITHOUT these, but have used them to get out of parking lots, get up steep hills, or get over icy areas
- Insulated magnetic window covers from Van essentials- specifically for promaster
