This van is equipped to fit any lifestyle you aim to achieve. The 2022 170″ Extended Wheelbase High Roof Mercedes Sprinter was custom-built for any adventure, whether you want to travel while working remotely, take your kids and/or pets on the trip of a lifetime, or fill the “garage space” with toys. It seats up to 5 (including 2 carseats) and comfortably sleeps 3-4.
A unique and key feature is the Queen Size bed lift system, allowing you to raise the bed to the ceiling when not in use. This makes it easy to load bikes, supplies, motorcycles, lumber, or anything you need inside. Below this queen bed, there is a second removable bed or platform with leaves that fold away in minutes when not needed. Kids love having their own platform/cave under the upper bed. I’ll include a new mattress and mattress cover for the queen bed – it’s incredibly comfortable and will leave you feeling very well rested.
For power, the interior has multiple 110v, 12v, and USB outlets, powered by a Lifepo4 Lithium 200ah battery, a Renogy Pure Sine Wave 2000w Power Inverter/Charger, and a Renogy Solar Charge controller. The battery is powered in three ways: solar by a 210w top-notch solar panel, the alternator when driving, and shore power via a 110v RV outlet on the outside of the van. You can easily add a portable air conditioner and plug it into the shore power if you wish to stay cool.
Another exciting feature is the Starlink Flat High-Performance kit mounted on the roof next to the solar panel, thoughtfully wired to an internal switch, providing high-speed internet at a reasonable cost anywhere. With Starlink, you can pay month-to-month and pause the service when not in use – no contract or ongoing subscription required. This permanently installed mobile version can be used while underway, so there is no need to stop and set up the satellite each time you need to use the internet. It can be turned on with the flip of a switch, and I have consistently had ~150-400 Mbps speed while driving in extremely remote areas with this system.
A custom Vancillary headliner shelf has been added to optimize storage space, made out of high-quality 3/4″ plywood and stained a rich black. SumoSprings have been added to increase load-carrying ability while decreasing vibration, stabilizing sway, and softening harsh rebounds. Pedal Control 2.0 is included, another fun add-on to improve the driving experience. An Owl Vans Explorer Side Ladder has been installed, as well as a Van Compass Complete Skid Plate System. Thule ski racks are attached to the roof for easy storage and access, and X-BULL new recovery traction tracks are included in case you need a little help getting out of the snow.
An included modular kitchen houses a self-contained water and gray water jug system, and runs water via a 12v water pump through a faucet. There is also an upper custom-made wood and aluminum cabinet that stores quite a bit, hung on the track system inside on the walls and ceiling. This track system could easily add another cabinet option.
For warmth and quiet, the van is well-insulated with natural fiber Havelock Wool, which does not mold and absorbs and releases moisture like a lung moves oxygen. It has a high insulative value and does not off-gas, so you can breathe comfortably inside. The ceiling wood warms the entire interior, and the dimmable lights adjust to any mood you like. On cold nights, the diesel space heater keeps the whole van toasty, whether camping in the snow or dodging rain squalls. The heater is top-notch, rated for 10,000 hours, has a brushless motor, a silent fuel pump, and is high altitude rated.
Both front seats swivel so you can survey your domain, and you could easily install a fold-away table between the front seats and the bench seat to create a dedicated working/eating space.
Ventilation is key, so a 10 Speed Maxxair fan with remote has been added. It quietly and efficiently moves air throughout the van and provides tons of ventilation with the accompanying vented windows. I’ll also include a set of high-quality, magnetic window covers for all windows (windshield, driver and passenger side, slider door, and Maxxair fan) which help significantly with temperature regulation and light-blocking.
Need a shower? I’m including a brand-new, never used Joolca HOTTAP Outing Kit and Quick Release bracket. It is very compact and one of the few that can run on as small as a 1lb Coleman propane canister. It provides instant hot shower water and comes with a self-contained, waterproof water pump that can take in water from a 6-gallon jug or any water source, such as a lake or river. I’ll also include a 63 Quart Dual Zone Fridge/Freezer, with single zone capability. It features a downloadable Smart App to control the Fridge, high/low compressor mode for energy saving or max cooling, and 3 levels of adjustable battery protection to protect from discharged batteries. It can cool down to -4 degrees F! This cooler is the bomb.
Newly included: In addition to the tires/wheels currently on the rig, I’ll also throw in a like-new set of Kumho Crugen HT51 all-season tires (LT 245/75 R16 120/116Q). These are Kumho’s Highway All-Season tire developed for drivers of light-duty pickups, vans, crossovers and sport utility vehicles looking for durability, a comfortable ride and all-season capability, including light snow traction. The Crugen HT51 is an all-weather tire that meets industry severe snow service requirements for the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol alongside its all-season performance.
