🌊 STORY

This van—“The Orca”—was purpose-built as a full-time live-aboard and has been a truly life-changing vehicle. It just received a brand new professional exterior paint job with warranty, addressing the known factory paint issues on these models.

I’m a finish carpenter by trade and built this van while working on custom vans in Southern California. The layout is inspired by the classic Westfalia design, adapted for the Sprinter platform with a focus on comfort, durability, and efficient use of space.

I lived in the van full-time for 3 years, and everything was designed for real-world use in all climates. It’s been lightly used in recent years after we relocated to Hawaii, and all maintenance has been consistently handled by certified Sprinter specialists with full records included.
