Now available is this Mercedes Benz Sprinter by Hinterland demo unit. This is the last model year of the true 4×4 Mercedes Sprinter. It is a highly optioned Mercedes base unit that carries an extended Mercedes factory warranty through February 2027. This unit will be on display in the Vanlife Trader “RIgs for Sale” area at Love Peace & Vans Expo March 7-10 2025 in Dade Ciy, Florida.

This completion was hand built by Hinterland located in northern Indiana in the heart of Amish country and near the RV capital of the world. Some of the unique features of this Hinterland Sprinter completion are:

1. A layout with a fully enclosed shower/toilet with solid door located in the rear of the unit and away from the main living area.
2. An interior that leans toward a darker more “homey” environment and away from the white/plastic interiors of manufactured units.

Drive train, suspension, wheels, tires, undercarriage protection

1. 4×4 with low range (the last year for true 4-wheel drive). Van Compass 4.3 suspension kit (front and rear fully adjustable Falcon SP2p 3.3 fast adjust shocks, front sumo springs, rear tuned leaf springs). 5 Nitto Ridge Grappler LT 275/65 R 18 tires on 18×8 matte black stealth wheels (rated to 3,530 lbs.). Roambuilt engine skid plate, Owl vans differential skid plate.

Cold weather protection

1. Havlock wool insulation, R7 (minimum) walls and cab ceiling, R3.5 (minimum) ceiling, slider door, rear doors and driver/passenger doors. R6 floor insulation. Double pane windows. Heated water lines. Heated gray water tank and lines. Eberspacher Airtronic D4 diesel furnace (up to 13,650 BTU) ducted to bath, cabin and water tank/manifold area with programmable thermostat. Temperature sensors with warning lights in battery area and water tank/manifold area.

Electrical / Solar

1. 2 Battleborn 270 amp hour 12v LiofePO4 deep cycle GC3 heated batteries. 1 Victron Multiplus 12/3000/120-50 inverter charger. 640 watt roof rack solar array. 2 Victron Smart Solar MPPT 100/50 solar charge controllers with blue tooth. 2 Victron Lynx distributors. 2 Victron Orion-TR Smart 12/12 volt-30 amp isolated charger (charges battery bank from alternator). Victron Cerbo GX with GX Touch 70 monitor (shows all solar and electrical functions as well as fresh and gray water tank levels, propane tank level, fridge temp, water manifold temp, battery compartment temp). Victron Smart Shunt. 30 amp shore power inlet. 6 AC outlets, 4 USB ports, AC/DC breaker/fuse panels, DC master switch. 10 led overhead lights with dimmers.

Water System / Bath

1. Custom fit 40 gallon fresh water tank. 10 gallon heated gray water tank. Shurflo 4 gpm water pump. Shurflo accumulator. Thetford CS 223 cassette toilet with electric flush. 4.75 gallon waste water cassette. Truma Aqua Go Comfort tankless water heater with cold weather kit. 4.25 lb propane tank. Nautilus P3 water management system with exterior access door. Fully enclosed rear shower/toilet area with shower control and head and storage access doors.

1. Dometic Mach 10 NDQ 13,500 BTU air conditioner with soft start. Dometic Fan-tastick model 7350 vent fan.

1. Norcold 3.3 cu ft ac/dc refrigerator with freezer. Greystone two burner induction cook top. Galantz microwave/air fryer. Dometic CFX3 35 ac/dc cooler/freezer (removable).
