Meet my diesel van, Beatrice! She has made all of my travel dreams come true, and if you're looking for a van to get you started with vanlife, she can do the same for you, too! :)
For over a year, I lived off-grid in the middle of nowhere in this van for several weeks at a time, and have also successfully stealth camped many times with it in cities. Between the solar setup, the shore-power plug, and the ability to charge the house batteries off of the alternator while driving, I have never been short on power supply!
This van would be a *phenomenal* starter van, or for anyone looking for something with all the amenities, as it truly feels like a tiny home. I am an avid cook and work online, and have never had to worry about having enough power for my Starlink, oven, stove, or fridge, as the solar keeps it charged when I'm parked off-grid for 2-3 weeks at a time. I've always traveled with a dog in my van and have frequently run the rooftop AC, also with no issues--it's a 12V system, and works powerfully to keep the space cool when needed, with very little power draw.
My dog and I hit all four corners of the continental United States in this van, from Washington to California/Arizona, to Florida, and Maine. We drove north to Alaska and east through Canada all the way to Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, and I know this van can take you even further.
I am sorry to let Beatrice go but life is taking me in a different direction and I would love for her to go to someone eager to explore the roads less taken. As she is a diesel, Beatrice still has hundreds of thousands of miles in her and comes with the dependability to give you peace of mind. This was my first diesel vehicle and I was happily surprised with the low learning curve, and the fact that she was significantly more solid than the gas vehicles I had owned before.

This van is extremely reliable and I have had regular maintenance, with no mechanical issues until this recent transmission replacement, which comes with a full warranty. I have complete maintenance and service records since Beatrice has been in my possession and from the previous owner as well, dating back to 2017–I am only the second private owner, and the only person to live full-time in this van. I also have full records of appliance and professional installations and warranties for the “house” portion of the van.
Note: Though this is a Ram vehicle, due to a contract between Ram/Mercedes at the time it was built the van was fit with a Mercedes transmission. A new Mercedes transmission has been installed, and the van has been thoroughly inspected and is 100% cleared by the dealership with no other issues. As far as I am aware the remaining parts are Ram, and they have been thoroughly inspected as well.
I am happy to answer any questions you have, send further pictures, or do a video/physical tour--just reach out!
