All of the systems are monitored by a Simarine Pico battery monitor which does more than you can ever imagine!! Fresh water, grey water and propane tanks are all monitored with alarms set to alert you when levels are low. This system also monitors up to 4 voltage and 4 resistance sensors, altitude, barometric pressure, temperatures, and even more! It has a shunt and thermometer for the main battery (connect up to 6 batteries) and 4 shunts to moniter your fans, TV, lights, and fridge. They keep track of the total output so that you know exactly where and how much power comes in and out.
It can all be viewed in real time from the app in your phone. I absolutely LOVE this monitor!
Propane is stored in an 8 gal horizontal RV manchester propane tank, mounted safely underneath the van with a remote fill in the back protected behind the frame/bumper.
For water, there is a 30 gal fresh water tank centered inside the van, and an 18 gal grey water tank underneath. The grey water can be drained using an electric solenoid valve (from inside the van) so that you don’t get your hands dirty!
I really hate to part with this build, but I am building a few more and need the funds to continue. I really hope that he goes to a good home… or becomes one!
Any more questions about it, just ask.
