HUGE Solar/Electrical, decked out converted Sprinter

We converted this Sprinter as a passion project to explore North America. We wanted to feel as comfortable as possible coming from an urban/suburban lifestyle, but be able to be fully off-grid and not require any resources other than food and water.

Comfort, convenience, and electrical capacity were the top priorities.

Electrical:

• 840 watts of solar panels (4x 210w panels)
• 500ah LiFePO4 (lithium) batteries (5x 100ah Battleborn batteries)
• 3000 watt pure sine wave inverter (Victron)
• DC-DC charger (Victron) to charge batteries from alternator
• Victron bluetooth/wifi monitoring/control devices
• 50A shore power plug
• Gross abundance of AC, 12v, and USB plugs throughout

Comfort:

• 12V air conditioner in rear / above bed (Fresair)
• Diesel air heater (tapped into vehicle diesel tank)
• Tons of storage... closet for hanging, huge lower cabinets, 14 upper cabinets, and huge garage under bed
• 3 t-vent windows (2 next to bed, 1 on slider door); lots of natural light from 4 total added windows
• Maxxair fan
• Queen bed - easily converts to lounge and reveals dinette
• 2-zone interior dimmable puck lights
• 4-zone exterior lights
• Upgraded stereo head unit with Carplay / Android Auto support
• Passenger seat swivels
• Hose connection in rear/garage for bike wash or outdoor shower
• Nature's Head composting toilet in wet-bath
• Wired and plumbed for water heater & shower (we had a bad freeze that ruined our hot water supply and did not replace it since we didn't use it much, but the plumbing and wiring are intact and ready)

Kitchen:

• 1800 watt induction dual cooktop (Cuisinart)
• Dometic 12V 75DZ fridge/freezer (dual zone)
• 32 gallon fresh water tank, 24 gallon grey water tank with wired release switch, electric water pump
• Slide-out pantry
• Sink with extendable faucet & soap dispenser

Vehicle:

• 2010 Freightliner (Mercedes) Sprinter
• ~171k miles
• Runs great, loves being on the road
• Well maintained exclusively at Mercedes dealerships (since we bought it in 2021)
• Rear-mounted spare tire
• New alternator; new exhaust line; serviced brakes; regular oil changes; all other recommended service completed
