This 4×4 Sprinter is outfitted with everything you need to thrive off-grid. What stands this build apart from others on the market begins with the 24 volt Victron electrical system designed by Just Roam Designs in Portland, OR. This 10k kilowatt hour system (equivalent to 800 ah at 12v) is more robust and efficient than the 12v systems currently being used in most builds. A 24v 150 amp secondary alternator has been fitted in order to charge this massive battery bank up while driving. Additionally, a huge 400 Watt solar panel is affixed to the roof rack to provide supplemental power. Finally, charging can also be achieved through a Smart Plug power port on the driver’s side of the van.
This build also comes with a premium bathroom package which includes the new OGO composting toilet with a push-button agitator as well as the Tetravan Folding Shower 2.0 with Magnetic Curtain. These components are quickly accessible when needed and stored discretely when not in use.
The Timberline Hydronic heater is fuelled by the vehicles diesel tank and provides both hot air and water. This is controlled by an intuitive touch screen located centrally in the van. The roof-mounted Houghton air conditioning system is among the most efficient RV AC’s on the market and can run for hours off the Victron electrical system.
There is plenty of drawer and cupboard space throughout the van. Aluminum extrusion and Richlite panels were used to construct the cabinets. This greatly increases the strength and lifespan of the cabinets. Richlite is made from recycled paper and is much denser and stronger than materials used in common cabinets. The cabinet and drawer faces are made from bamboo plywood which gives the interior a more natural look.
The bed (also made from bamboo) folds up to allow for a clear path through the van. The Lonseal floor is one single piece so there are no cracks that will fill with water or dirt. The wall and ceiling panels are also constructed from Richlite which means they are easy to clean and won’t tear, which is a common problem with upholstered van panels.
Many upgrades have been made to the Sprinter’s exterior including the Owl Vans Side Ladder, Tire Carrier, and Talon Wheel, the Flatline Van Co Low Pro Roof Rack, The Fiamma F80s Awning, Luvern Side Steps, BFG K02 Tires, Nilight Light Bar and Reverse Lights, and the Van Compass Stage 4.3 Suspension System. This suspension system dramatically improves the vans ride and handling. It can quickly and easily be adjusted via dials on the Falcon shocks to account for different terrain. The total weight of the van is under 8000 lbs dry.
