Easy-to-clean black vinyl seats and rubber floor mats will put up with even the muddiest of adventures. Custom bug nets for the windows and rear door keep the van cool and bug-free.
Vanison packs a lot into a small space and handles like a car, making him perfect for city dwellers. You’ll be able to fit into any standard (and most compact) car spaces, and at just 6’11” tall (including racks and rooftop tent), he’ll fit in most underground garages too.
What you’ll be driving: A low-mileage (28,000 miles) 2020 Ford Transit Connect Van XL in excellent condition, with a powerful 2.0L 4-cylinder engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission; 24 – 29 MPG. Includes cruise control, reverse sensors/camera and a sync 3 8” touch screen with Apple and Android Carplay. For connectivity on the go, Vanison also includes a wifi hotspot (requires a data plan to activate). Keep a track of servicings and vehicle condition using the Fordpass App
Where you’ll sleep: A low-profile, super comfortable Roofnest Falcon XL (Eu link Falcon XL – Roofnest) on a double set of Vantech J Series Roof racks.
Where you’ll shower: Kickass Instant Ensuite Camping Shower Tent Awning with a 5 gallon fresh water system (cold water only).
Where you’ll cook: Original Nomad kitchen modified to take a Camp Everest 2X – can be included on request.
What you can bring: 2 mountain bikes and a load of gear!
What you can build on: Vanison is ready for customization – the back of the van is fitted out using 80/20 1515-ULS (ultralight series) 1.5” x 1.5” aluminum extrusion bolted into the vehicle’s original tie down points, making it a strong and secure way to attach shelving or tie-down gear. The bolts and the frames can be uninstalled and rearranged to suit your own needs. Don’t need the bike tray? Simply unbolt it and replace it with internal shelving, or a bed, or a fridge, or a surfboard rack, or a ski rack…the possibilities are endless!
