WHY FORD OVER SPRINTER?

The Sprinter’s reputation is decades old, and earned. But the Transit has caught up on features and surpassed it on serviceability. The question isn’t which platform is more prestigious. It’s which one keeps you on the road.

1. Service network: nearly 3,000 Ford dealers nationwide, against a few hundred Sprinter-certified locations concentrated in metro areas. Any mechanic who can work on an F-150 can work on your Transit chassis. Parts stocked everywhere.
2. Power without aftermarket parts: Ford’s factory second alternator delivers 250A and charges the house battery at up to 200A. A factory part, warrantied by Ford. Sprinter builds need aftermarket alternator upgrades – multiple brands that have to communicate, a specialist for each, none of it warrantied by Mercedes.
3. Feature parity: as spec’d by Grit, the Transit carries what the Sprinter offers – blind spot alerts, lane keep assist, keyless entry, extended fuel tank, heavy-duty tow package.

POWER THAT KEEPS UP

1. A heated, UL-listed lithium 4kWh battery that keeps up with banks four times its size. Expandable to 8kWh
2. 11+ hours of A/C on a charge – around 16 on eco, 5-6 on high. Many competitors require 16kWh for similar runtime
3. Bigger batteries aren’t always better – they’re heavier, slower to charge, and have more points of failure
4. Lighter pack means better fuel economy, better handling, less strain on the chassis
