New 2025 Mercedes Sprinter AWD high-roof 170 hand crafted by Cave Creek Custom Vans. This van has it all! The Happijac bed lift system is mounted near the front which allows for a full size, residential mattress, which is lifted up and out of the way when not in use. This frees up space for a living room which seats 5, has dual screened sliding windows, and a wide central walkway that creates an amazing floor plan with true access from both the rear and side doors.
Live edge wood slabs, combined with hard wood floors and cabinets makes the van feel like you are in a home on wheels! A slide out table/storage chest allows for outside dining/entertainment. Plenty of storage under the couches, which are framed with extruded aluminum for excellent strength, maximum space allowance, and low weight. The TV is mounted so that it’s viewable from anywhere in the van. There is no particle board, plastic paneling, MDF, or any of that nonsense. The mid section has dual counters with plenty of room to prepare meals.
The full size bath in the rear includes a shower with a 32” skylight overhead, a Laveo dry flush toilet that slides away when not in use, and a second sink with a hands free faucet. A Nautilus sliding door separates the bathroom and serves as part of the shower curtain. There is also nearly 3 feet of seating area in the bathroom to allow for the comfort and privacy normally impossible in a camper van.
An EcoFlow 48V smart electric system with a large 10kWh battery array can be charged by rooftop solar panels or the vans alternator when off grid, and completely controlled through your phone. A detachable, roof mounted, Starlink Mini provides high speed Internet access.
Other information about the van: Diesel powered heater that draws from the van’s tank, a Smart Plug shore power connection for ultimate ease of connection and safety, Maxxfan above the bed area, 48V 13.5K BTU AC, and an electric ball valve/switch on the grey tank so that the tank can be remotely emptied from inside the van. The Laveo toilet is maintenance free, and doesn’t use water so all 33 gallons of fresh water can be dedicated to shower/sinks. The kitchen sink faucet can be extended out the side door. We install all the plumbing for the van in the bathroom so that if there is any issues/leaks, the water goes straight out the shower drain rather than all over the van. There are many small design ideas like that we put into our vans based on our experience as full time ‘campers’. For example, we put a premium on open space and being able to actually stand up in the van. The kitchen area height is 6’2”. And the large skylight we put in the bathroom is directly over the shower, giving you 6’8” of room. There are 3 spots in the van prewired with DC circuits to allow for future expansion.
The engine is the new, ultra reliable, 208 HP twin turbo High Output model. It’s the best engine we have ever seen in a camper van. The twin turbo gives the van all the power it needs for accelerating and mountain driving. Yet the fuel efficiency is amazing, getting 20 MPG on the highway. What most people miss is that the gas consumption while idling is extremely low, meaning that recharging the batteries or running the AC at full power is cheaper, easier, and much quieter than using a generator.
