“Sundreams” is a beautiful, 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 Extended, AWD, project van with a little over 10k miles. My husband and I purchased the van new and spent 8 months building our off-grid, all-electric (besides the diesel heater), dream van with all the bells and whistles.
Our goal in building Sundreams was to camp off grid (boon-dock) for weeks at a time with plenty of water (50 gallons), electric (800 watts), battery storage (25 KWh) and still be super comfortable. Being designers and artists we really had fun creating this one-of-a-kind van, you won’t find anything out there like it! It’s bittersweet but after living and traveling full-time, in our work-of-art on wheels, we decided we needed more space and have purchased a larger rig.
Our plan was to settle into a home and rebuild Sundreams, because you learn a lot when you build something like this, but we had a change to plans and decided to be nomadic for a few more years. This van is looking for its perfect match—a handy person ready to tackle a DIY build or and take it to the next level of awesomeness! If you aren’t looking to DIY, this could also be handed off to a professional van building company. With top-of-the-line components already in place, it’s the ideal project for someone ready to take it to the next level and add their personal touches. The 80/20 aluminum, framework does need to be rebuilt with different hardware and the price reflects this. Now would be a great time to reconfigure the layout to fit your camping needs, or keep it as is, and tighten up the build. It’s a great opportunity, if you’re short on time but excited to create something truly your own, Sundreams is the van for you!

Things to note: there’s a dent on the back passenger door, the door still functions. The van has been built with 80/20 aluminum, it can easily be reconfigured to fit your layout needs.
Banks will not finance a DIY build, this is a cash deal OR another option to consider is financing the Mercedes Sprinter cargo van and pay cash for the DIY portion of the build to make up the total.
