This van has been a really special chapter of my life, and I want it to go to someone who’s genuinely excited to use it.
It’s a 2023 Ram ProMaster 159 Extended High Roof, custom built by Drifter Vans (you can see their work on Instagram). I’ve lived in it on and off for the past two years in the Bay Area with my now 10-year-old son, and it’s been cared for like a tiny apartment on wheels — clean, organized, and thoughtfully maintained.
The van has about 20,000 miles, a clean title, and is still under warranty. There are zero mechanical issues and everything works exactly as it should.
What Makes This Van Different
The biggest thing that sets this van apart is that it was designed for real life, not just weekend trips or Instagram photos.
It has three seats.
That’s incredibly rare in the van world. This was intentional because I wanted a setup that worked for a parent and a kid. If you’re a mom or dad who’s dreamed about vanlife but didn’t think it was realistic with a child — this van was built for you.
The bed actually works for a family.
It comfortably sleeps two adults and a little kid without nightly conversions or awkward setups.
It has a real bathroom.
There’s an indoor shower and a dry flush toilet — no composting, no black water tank, no mess. You just replace the toilet cartridge when needed. It’s one of the easiest, cleanest bathroom setups you can have in a van.
The Feel of the Space
This van is extremely functional, like a true studio apartment, and genuinely nice to be in.
Drifter Vans paid a lot of attention to the details, and it shows. The interior has a warm, slightly vintage feel that makes it feel calm and cozy, not industrial. I went for a vintage vibe.
