Impeccably maintained both interior and mechanically!!!! Truly looks almost brand new off the lot!!!!
2023 Transit 150 medium roof, medium length-148". Rear wheel drive with a 3.5 v6 automatic transmission. Avalanche gray,( off white) with cloth ebony colored bucket seats. XL Trim with rear view camera plus trailer hitch assist, auto high beam headlights, collision warning ant tilt steering wheel.
We ordered this basic cargo van from the Ford garage in chattanooga with the following:
-253 degree rear fold back doors with side magnetic bumpers.
-Heavy duty tow package with a 2" receiver, hard wired.....only did so to use it for a bike rack....never towed anything.
-Radio sync 3 with 4" screen.
-Dual 12 volt batteries that are mounted under the drivers seat with a positive jumper point located under the hood, if you need to jump start it or another vehicle. *This system powers everything in the van with very little amp draw on the batteries for all night use.
-Cruise control
-Front overhead shelf unit and 2 extra key sets---there are 4 total keys to the van.
Conversion
When the van came in, we picked it up and drove it to Moxie Van Company, also in the Chattanooga area for the immediate conversion which consisted of:
-Flooring and walls were padded with noise dead foil to take out the open metal, hollow sound. Insulation and framing installed with a plywood floor and hard rubber van wall to wall flooring. The walls, ceiling and corners were covered and trimmed out with a panel and fabric covering which looks very professional.
-LED lights were installed in the ceiling down the center of the cargo area with a dimmer switch mounted on the kitchen galley.
-Cabinets made of a high grade laminate make up the kitchen galley with push button lock drawers and a refrigerator/cooler space that we filled with two matching coolers that are secured in place.
-A covered sink with a pull up electric faucet is connected to a pair of six gallon water jugs below that provide water to wash, clean and drink making this a self sufficient yet simple means of having water. A gray water drain exits straight down to the ground under the van.
***The dual batteries power all of this with ease as the total draw all night is a very minimal amount of amps and we consisting run a music speaker and charge phones from the dual charger that is on the front of the galley to boot.
-A swivel passenger seat allows you to rotate the seat and enjoy the inside van life in comfort when stopped along the road or at a campsite.
-The bed frame is a full size, very heavy duty front to back setup with hooks underneath for hanging things. A custom fit mattress covers this which is extremely comfortable! You won't be cramped up in a ball with this setup.
-Side windows with blinds and screens and a roof fan with a remote are ideal for keeping air flowing, even on warm nights. The remote opens the Maxx Air Deluxe roof vent and you control the speed of the fan. No water leaks, etc. with this unit.
-Bug wall unit is a magnetic close, fully zipped in unit that keeps all the critters out if you want to sit in the van or have a nice breeze at night. The magnetic disc in the screen allow you to push them back on each side out of the way or you can roll up the whole screen to the ceiling of the door if you don't want them in the way.
-The tires and wheels make the rig look very sharp and the 10 ply tires are fantastic with a great ride. We purchased them through Moxie Van and sold the ugly steel wheels and tires that came on it! Black Rhino alloy wheels with Falkin wildpeak A/4W 10 ply tires along with a brand new full size spare mounted under the van. We Got 50,000 miles out of these tires and just changed all four of them for another full set with a front end alignment to boot. Great tires with a good warranty.
Our file includes copies of all service records which was performed at every 5,000 miles at the Crossville Ford Garage. Synthetic weight oil and tire rotations on each service which always includes a full all points check. I just changed the wiper blades and the air filter and the 5,000 mile service was done last week.
This is a simple low maintenance means of travel that we have truly enjoyed as we finished our bucket list of hiking the entire Appalachian Trail and doing the whole Lewis and Clark Expedition route. Many nights in State Park Campgrounds allowed us to shower and have great campfires while biking and hiking all over. We use the van as our secondary vehicle as well as a simple camper as it handles really well, never top heavy, etc.
Priced to sell for a reasonable deal for the buyer and us as it has a clean title with no lien.
