Perfectly livable, ready to decorate home on wheels!
I lived in this van for over a year while traveling for medical school. It has everything you need for a home off the grid (solar power, water supply, heater, AC, vent fan, toilet) or use all of these features in a campground (shore power).
BED
The van has a full bed in the back, with built in cubbies at the head and foot for storage/extra length. The mattress has a new mattress cover, new comforter, new pillows.
POWER
There are two USB/USB-C power outlets; one by the bed and one over the counter. There are also two 120V power outlets; one by the refrigerator and one above the counter.
The power supply was installed by an electrician. I lived in this van with no power issues. The entire roof is covered in solar panels. There is a second power distributor that can be hooked up to ground supply panels if you have them. There is a power inverter already wired to hook up to the vehicle battery. The system is mirrored after an installation tutorial available on YouTube, so any questions about the setup can be answered from there.
How long this system can power you off-grid is depends on what appliances you are running and how much solar you are getting in the day. In my personal experience, I typically had the refrigerator, lights, and AC running intermittently for 2-3 days without having to plug into shore power.
There are fans programmed to vent the power board to avoid overheating.
APPLIANCES
I used an air fryer and rice cooker for most of my meals. There is refrigerator and freezer. There is a water heater, AC, vent fan, and gas heater installed.
I had a smaller cooling fan and dehumidifier that I plugged in from time to time when I wanted to save power. These will come with the van.
The shower is built in. Part of the counter flips up to reveal a shower pan. The sink faucet extends to act as the shower head.
*disclaimer* There is currently a nomadic 24v AC system installed in the van. It is not functioning properly. I have had the system looked at and have an estimate for repairs. I will negotiate the price of repair from the asking price. If you would prefer to replace with a new 24V system with warranty, I will negotiate that estimated price from the asking price. If I were to replace it, I would likely choose a system other than Nomadic.
The plumbing is electric. There are heating pads on the water tanks programmed to warm in case of freezing temperatures. I never had my tanks freeze.
Layout
The bed lies in the back over the plumbing system and electrical system. Both of these systems are accessible through the rear doors, or by folding the mattress and lifting the mattress support boards.
The back doors have two hooks holding the shore power cable, shore power cable extension, and 30amp to 120V adapter. The other hook holds the water hose.
There is one storage cabinet over the bed. There is a clothing rack that slides out for hanging clothes under the bed.
There are two counter top spaces on either side of the van; one is the sink and shower and the other has one storage cabinet and three drawers. There is a custom pillow fitted over the refrigerator so that it can serve as a couch.
There is a divider between the cab and living space.
This build is framed with aluminum 80/20 with 1/2" - 3/4" plywood. Every bolt is coated in loctite to decrease movement of the structures. Every wood piece is supported with screws and loctite glue. There is sound deadening thinsulate installed on the walls and flooring.
*This is my current every-day vehicle until a sale is made. The mileage listed is an estimate.
