The Digital Nomad is a professionally converted Ram Promaster designed to allow for to work remotely and live off-grid for weeks at a time. The van has high clearance, off-road tires, and front-wheel drive allowing you to reach very remote destinations with enough power, water, and food storage to stay there for weeks at a time.
Internet & Electricity
While off-grid, the flat-mounted Starlink disk will provide excellent internet with speeds between 50-100MBs, best of all the Starlink works even in motion. The 4.2kwh battery pack supports heavy usage and can be charged from the engine inverter, the 400w of solar, or the 120v a shore power plug on the rear of the van. A swivel monitor and table provide a comfortable workspace.
Shower, Water & Toilets
The 30-gallon freshwater tank provides enough water for comfortable showers throughout the week and the water heater can either use electricity or heat up passively while the engine is turned on as it is integrated into the engine cooling loop. The grey tank is located on the bottom of the vehicle with a heating pad to prevent freezing and can be emptied by flipping a switch in the vehicle. A portable cassette has been our preferred toilet however any preferred toilet can be used.
Heating & Cooling
A high-altitude heater from Webasto allows The Digital Nomad to use a home-like thermostat and thick wool insulation to keep comfortable temperatures in the winter. The heater runs directly from the gas tank and uses very little fuel (1 gallon for 3-4 days of heating). There are two max air fans in the front and rear of the van and for hot days setting one to push and one to pull can produce a comfortable breeze keeping comfortable temperatures in the van.
Vehicle Comfort & Efficiency
The Ram Promaster is well-powered and stable when driving. A camera rearview mirror and large tow mirrors make for great visibility and a short turning radius allows for small parking lot maneuvering. It has heated seats for cold weather and highway 14-16mpg.
Storage & Features
A large storage space under the bed with a pass-through is great for storing long-trip required items or use as a space for pets. The roof is easily accessible with tie-down points for strapping down surf or paddle boards. The Thule bike rack on the back of the vehicle securely locks two bikes in place and is compatible with other Thule mounting systems for skis, snowboards, or watercraft.

Owners & History
This van has been amazing to own. We have traveled coast to coast in it and made a comfortable profit renting on Outdoorsy when not in use. We have regularly serviced and maintained the van without issue. We are sad to let it go however after having our first kid, we have decided we need something larger.
Insurance & Additional Costs
Insurance is made easy for Vanlifers through Roamly and you can expect to pay 100-200 a month in insurance. A Starlink subscription is 150$ a month and can be paused/activated as needed.
