Imagine opening your door in the heat of summer to the cool breeze among the pine and aspen covered mountains, or driving through the desert landscape in the winter to enjoy the perfect pastel sunset. The simplicity of van life gives back with lifetime memories and experiences.
Jorgi the van is built with the capacity to boon dock but also with additional features to set up at established campgrounds. I lived and traveled in the van full time for almost two years and also used it for weekend and overnight trips. With a large garage space it’s the perfect set up to take your outdoor gear, head to races, and come back to cozy space for dinner and to sleep. I’m selling it now to make space for a new project and would love to see someone use it to enjoy their own travel experiences.
The high roof 136″ wheelbase model allows for easy driving and maneuverability. It is 17.75′ bumper to bumper and easily fits into a typical parking space. The high roof allows for about 6’1″ standing height inside the van.
Van Details:
Garage:
Heavy duty drawer slide can hold two bicycles or other gear. Removable pocket storage on doors can hold gear, tools, or anything else you want easy access to outside. Large storage drawer, storage space above the water tank, and additional shelf storage just behind the bed allow a variety of options to organize and access your gear.
Temperature regulation:
Installed two vented windows in the back for a cross breeze, which is helped by the Maxxair Fan for cooling.
There is no heater installed. When connected to shore power, though, a small space heater warms the interior nicely.
Insulated with Havelock Wool on the walls and ceiling. Floor is insulated with foam board.
Vanmade Gear Insulated Window covers for all windows and the fan also help keep a comfortable indoor temperature as well. These are also great for privacy and to dampen outdoor noise.
Water:
The water system is on a Shurflo electric pump to provide great water pressure to clean up after dinner. There is also a spray hose out of the back to clean up your bikes and/or you after a day of outdoor play. The 20 gallon tank has the capacity for several days of boondocking. The grey water tank is a 4 gallon removable tank below the sink, making it easy to dump.
Electrical Set Up
This has robust battery power and multiple ways to charge. I was never close to running out of power when boondocking. Charge through solar power, dc-dc charger while driving, or shore power.
3x100ah Battle Born Batteries
200w Renogy Solar Panel
50A Victron Smartsolar Charge Controller
30A Victron Orion DC-DC Charger
Blue Sea Systems Fuse Block
Victron BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor
30A Samlex Shore Power
1000w Renogy Pure Sine Wave Inverter
Bed:
8″ Zinus Green Tea Memory Foam mattress is incredibly comfortable. The vertical position of the bed is stationary. The horizontal position is movable, allowing you to push it back to act as a couch during the day. This also provides easier access to the electrical and water components if needed.
Indoor Living area:
Amazing auto swivel seats allow you to turn the driving seats around for a larger living area. Jojobay seat covers on both seats are waterproof and easy to remove and clean. Lagun table allows for a removable work space for your computer or dinner prep.
Outdoor Living area:
Extend or retract the Fiamma Awning with the push of a button. With the awning extended it feels like sitting on the front porch of your home. My dog loved relaxing under the awning and getting all the outdoor sniffs.
Food:
Isotherm Cruise 85 refrigerator and ample overhead cabinet storage to keep all your food on hand. It’s a simple joy to go out for a hot bike ride or hike and come back to a cold drink. Portable Coleman stove fits easily on the counter top or outside.
Bathroom:
Nature’s Head composting toilet mounted on a heavy duty drawer slider that locks in place. Sprayer at the back doors can be used to rinse off.
Flooring:
Single piece of wall to wall vinyl flooring installed overtop 3/4″ baltic birch and foam board insulation.
Internet/Cell Service:
Weboost installed to boost cell signal. I worked online with this and a mobile hotspot to access the internet.
Additional Features:
Thule Elite Van XT Bike Rack
Hitch
New tires installed at 56,000 miles. Last maintenance and tune up in March 2025.
