The Camper

The camper has everything you could imagine in such a vehicle. It was custom-made to include comfort and off-grid power. The van comes equipped with a third Mercedes seat that is removeable to accommodate a third passenger.

Power

There are three sources of power: 1) solar panels, 2) engine alternator wired to the lithium batteries, 3) 120-volt plug-in. The array includes:

• Two 160 watts solar panels mounted on the roof.

• Two 270 Amp per hour Battle Born lithium batteries for a total of 540Ah. Battle born, made in the USA, are the best-in-class batteries. Value: $4,500

• All Victron Energy (the best-in-class) components, including a Victron inverter/charger 3000 VA, providing 12-volt DC and 120 AC power. The system is completed by a wall-mounted monitor. The system includes a Victron solar controller, Victron system monitoring, Victron Lynx distributor, etc.
